    Chourio's not even Top 10 from age 20-22 in wRC+ or fWAR just in the 2000's.

    Brewers are hitting the ball in the air more in general so far in September than they have any other month this year. GB rate is 40.9% this month compared to a previous low of 45.8%

    I don't know but I certainly don't think Harrison can be assumed especially moreso now that they said they are shifting him to the bullpen to try and build his confidence up.

    The only scenario Misiorowski is pitching game 7 of the NLCS is if the Brewers went to game 5 in the NLDS. Otherwise he'd be set up to pitch game 1 and game 5 of the NLCS.

    I disagree. Both pitches that Contreras didn't challenge against Busch were not easy challenges because Sproat missed the target by like 2ft each time causing Contreras to reach to get the ball making it much harder to know if it caught the zone or not.

    What I'm seeing arm angle wise is that he should probably be using a three pitch mix against LHH going FB, FC, CB and a two pitch mix against RHH going SI, SW?

    The thing is I’m not even sure you could trust him in a game that doesn’t matter because you still need to trust him to get outs even if the runs allowed don’t matter. Brewers could have been winning by 15 runs yesterday and Sproat still wouldn’t have been able to finish that game because his pitch count was so out of control. They like him enough where they aren’t going to let him throw his arm off to get desired amount of outs

    Corbin Burnes had way worse results but he flashed substantially more upside than Sproat has ever flashed. Just look at a comparison of the underlying numbers. Burnes had a 3.37 xFIP, 21.3% K-BB, and 17.2% swinging strike rate in 2019. Sproat not counting today had a 4.29 xFIP, 12.6% K-BB, and 10.3% swinging strike rate this year. I know you said you aren't comparing them that deeply but I would caution people to think that just because Burnes turned it around that Sproat will also be able to do it. Sproat has significantly less skill to work with than Burnes did.

    As soon as he threw that pickoff to nobody, I knew Uribe would be coming in. Right then and there you could tell he mentally wasn't locked in and was going to melt down.

    Counsell used a 1,3,5 system when he was here. 1 for no challenge, 3 for iffy, and 5 for sure thing. Don't know why he challenged a 3 other than desperation

Yelich against RHP changeups and splitters this year in the location of his 3-2 hit tonight has had these batted balls (some of these were foul balls) 110 EV, -16 LA 98 EV, -43 LA 94 EV, -10 LA 91 EV, -14 LA 89 EV, -63 LA 88 EV, -32 LA 85 EV , -68 LA 79 EV, -7 LA 79 EV, -24 LA 75 EV, -21 LA 73 EV, -46 LA 69 EV, -51 LA 68 EV, -48 LA 66 EV, -48 LA 63 EV, -41 LA 62 EV, -37 LA His batted ball in that spot tonight? 98 EV, 15 LA I think that proves it was one of his best swings of the season. Feel like we haven’t seen him keep his barrel in the hitting zone that long all year.

    Dbacks and Padres still have a series together as well to end the year so that makes it pretty unlikely.

    Absolutely. He came in down 3-1 with runners on 2nd and 3rd with the MVP coming to the plate. To get out of that and then throw a scoreless 10th? He's my MVP of the night.
