    I don’t even think you should say Gasser has been bad. He’s had a few blowup outings that have really crushed his overall line but the large majority of his starts have been solid. He’s had an ERA of 4.50 or better in 9 of his 14 starts and an ERA of 3.00 or better in 7 of his 14 starts.

    The fact this team is 7-7 this month is a testament to how good the pitching has been. If our pitching wasn’t doing well the team would probably be like 3-11 the way the offense has been swinging the bat. 14 games and 46 runs. 3.3 runs per game and have only scored more than 4 runs three times all month

    I really do kind of feel for him a bit. We trade for him then instantly start using him in a way he’s never been used in his career. He’s not a use him for an inning 3-4 days a week guy. He’s a multi-inning use him 2 days a week guy.

    Don’t think I’ve ever heard Murphy publicly critical of William’s pitch calling before and he said he wanted to see something softer in the dirt against Muncy on that 3-2 pitch.

    It actually worked out so much better that Senzatela blew it. They still win in the end but instead of Ashby, Uribe, Megill all being used only Megill was used.

    Yelich had already become problematic on the roster because he can’t hit anymore. The fact he also is incapable of playing in the field anymore makes his roster spot even more problematic. Gary Sanchez is starting at 1B not DH tonight because Yelich is a pure DH now.

    Craziest lineup we’ve seen all year. Vaughn at 3B and Sanchez at 1B with Drohan on the mound.

    The team Dawson is the hitting coach for has a 95 wRC+ this year

    The Ty France single before the Merrill go ahead HR last night was a play that Ortiz and Harrison probably make. Vaughn didn't even come close to it. If the ball is hit right at him he's fine but he has no range.

    Down 11-1 and we still have hitters watching pitchers right down the middle to go down in the count 0-1.

    He's had three really bad starts this season out of 19 and one of those was in the most hitter friendly park in MLB by a country mile. This is his 7th start since Vegas. Two have been bad and one he left injured.

    If Machado was on the Brewers people would be constantly complaining about his low batting average and how his contract was an albatross that is going to kill the Brewers. I mean the guy is slashing .215/.299/.419 on the year.

    I'd bet 13 more wins getting to 87 would be enough to make the postseason.

    I'm sorry but the idea things went poorly because the best hitter has a 140 wRC+ just doesn't make much sense. Who do you think should have a wRC+ better than 140? In the last 15 years the Brewers have only had 3 players have a qualified season with a wRC+ over 140.

    Jake Bauers is 12th among MLB qualified hitters in wRC+. What on earth is that supposed to mean?

    4.5 fWAR for the Brewers to 2.7 fWAR for the Red Sox. Average out bWAR and fWAR and you get 4.7 for the Brewers and 3.9 for the Red Sox. Still a great trade for the Brewers.

    Kind of funny that barring the offense making a crazy comeback that Wilson is probably going to get DFA'd again tomorrow.

    Yeah totally. The guy who went 5 innings with 10 K in his last start and was only removed because of cramping is just a guy.

    He has a 3.28 ERA and great peripherals. Who cares that his ERA jas doubled from 1.6 to 3.2 when you include a game played in Vegas where the ball flew like crazy and he gave up 8 ER.

    Harrison in his last 6 starts before tonight had a 3.10 ERA and 2.50 FIP

    Yes it was a dumb decision from Hamilton but Bae needs to make that play. He better not be playing because they are doing some dumb platoon situation with Ortiz
