  1. Jackson Merrill has been better and Paul Skenes has been Paul Skenes.
  2. I agree. I can think Murphy is a good overall manager and deserving of manager of the year while simultaneously being a poor in game manager which is exactly what I think and what my #PatMurphyLogic dig was about. His in game managing. Edit: In game managing mostly doesn't make a big difference during the regular season. There are 162 games so the good/bad decisions even out, but in the playoffs these poor managing decisions could absolutely be the difference between a win and a loss which is scary with Murphy's bunt fascination.
  3. 60 pitchers in the MLB have hit 100.0 mph this year https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_search?hfPT=&hfAB=&hfGT=R|&hfPR=&hfZ=&hfStadium=&hfBBL=&hfNewZones=&hfPull=&hfC=&hfSea=2024|&hfSit=&player_type=pitcher&hfOuts=&hfOpponent=&pitcher_throws=&batter_stands=&hfSA=&game_date_gt=&game_date_lt=&hfMo=&hfTeam=&home_road=&hfRO=&position=&hfInfield=&hfOutfield=&hfInn=&hfBBT=&hfFlag=&metric_1=api_p_release_speed&metric_1_gt=100&metric_1_lt=&group_by=name&min_pitches=0&min_results=0&min_pas=0&sort_col=pitches&player_event_sort=api_p_release_speed&sort_order=desc#results
  4. Nah Pat Murphy has shown to be an extremely questionable in game manager with his inconsistent bullpen logic and his fascination with bunting. The Brewers have won 86 games because the roster is good
  5. Using #PatMurphyLogic he probably will be available because #PatMurphyLogic is rarely logical
  6. Yoho pitching now so it won't be him. That leaves the only fresh pitchers on the 40 man as Tyler Jay and Peguero if Payamps has to hit the IL, We all know who Murphy wants it to be
  7. He warmed up multiple times today. If you use him tomorrow it'd be the equivalent of him throwing 5 times in 7 days which is why the whole "he's available but only for an out" crap was utter nonsense. Especially moreso when Devin claims he was going to get the 9th inning if the Brewers got the lead in the 9th.
  8. Based on Murphy's comments in Hogg's recent article about Hudson and Misiorowski, I have a feeling he has no interest in Misiorowski being called up.
  9. So who is lying. Murphy saying Devin was only available for 1-2 outs or Devin saying he would have gotten the 9th if the Brewers got a lead in the top half?
  10. They have to make a move. They can't go into a game with Civale, Milner, Paredes as the only available arms. Payamps will probably have to hit the IL. I'd guess that would mean Peguero would be back up.
  11. With the news of the Payamps injury, I think that moves the biggest problem with Murphy's managing today to the 2 sac bunt attempts.
  12. It's just totally moronic. If you're worried about Devin staying fresh then he should have been totally unavailable. Warming him up multiple times for a potential 1-2 out situation is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
  13. I cannot believe that the Timber Rattlers have Birchard pitching in a Championship game. There's just got to be better options.
  14. Ross, Ashby, Koenig, Megill, potentially Devin because he warmed up 2 different times.
  15. Murphy made so many bad moves tonight that tonight easily clears that game.
  16. Murphy will 100% cost the Brewers a playoff game with his bad in game managing.
  17. Murphy is seriously one of the worst in game managers I've ever watched manage the Brewers
  18. His fascination with bunting is another
  19. This has been one of Murphy's worst managed games all year. Playing for 1 run in the 7th inning with a sac bunt against one of the best offenses in the MLB. Letting Ashby pitch to Grichuk when he clearly had showed he didn't have it with Payamps ready in the pen. Not letting Payamps pitch the 8th inning despite being extremely fresh and only throwing 5 pitches in the 7th. Opting to use Megill and Williams in the 8th and 9th who will both be throwing for the 4th time in 6 days. He's just not at all a good in game manager.
  20. Looks like it's true although probably worth noting that Chourio has 37 more batted balls in that time because Judge walks a lot. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_search?hfPT=&hfAB=&hfGT=R|&hfPR=hit\.\.into\.\.play|&hfZ=&hfStadium=&hfBBL=&hfNewZones=&hfPull=&hfC=&hfSea=2024|&hfSit=&player_type=batter&hfOuts=&hfOpponent=&pitcher_throws=&batter_stands=&hfSA=&game_date_gt=2024-07-01&game_date_lt=&hfMo=&hfTeam=&home_road=&hfRO=&position=&hfInfield=&hfOutfield=&hfInn=&hfBBT=&hfFlag=&metric_1=api_h_launch_speed&metric_1_gt=100&metric_1_lt=&group_by=name&min_pitches=0&min_results=0&min_pas=0&sort_col=pitches&player_event_sort=api_p_release_speed&sort_order=desc#results
  21. Gallen just totally owns this franchise. Praying we don't have to face the Dbacks in the WC round.
  22. Gallen's been horrible today. Can't find the strike zone to save his life but our hitters keep chasing.
  23. He's definitely been on the unlucky side so far in September. Through the game last night here is his expected vs actual slash line. Actual - .227/.320/.568, .373 wOBA Expected - .303/.388/.603, .418 xwOBA Has hit into quite a bit of bad luck so far in September and even then he's still put up an incredible slash line through 2 weeks. Also I'm pretty sure both wOBA and xwOBA do not include intentional walks.
