    Really need Ortiz to remember how to hit. He's been so bad since he came off the IL with some extremely ugly AB.

    If they do it's because yesterday was a double header and they want him to eat more innings. He's lost the strike zone and is giving up some loud contact these last 2 innings.

    To be fair I very much agree that the trade was weird at the time. Maybe they found out that Shook was leaning towards leaving in minor league FA (think he was a minor league FA) so wanted to just get something in return for him. I really have no idea why they needed another LHRP on the 40-man. Not that this is related, but I wonder if Arnold knew that Hall and Ashby were going to find their stuff so soon after the trade deadline if he would have made the Mears trade. I'm a believer in Mears stuff especially after an offseason in our org but he has no options so I don't love the long term roster fit.

    I do think I'd be most inclined to want to get some of the catchers back. Get Garcia, Rodriguez, and Navarreto back. Always nice to have veteran catcher depth in the minors and I think continuity is probably more important for catchers than other positions.

    Conversely look no further than Blake Holub to see how big of a jump it is from AA to AAA from a pitching perspective. Holub has been absolutely dominant in AA but has been bad in 2 different AAA stints this season.

    Carlos Rodriguez, Ernesto Martinez Jr, Mitch White, and Lamar Sparks are the 4 I would like back for sure with Connor Scott as a 0.5 because it's still too small of a sample for me to really have a good feel about him. I think everyone else on that list is minor league depth/org filler so I think they are easily replaceable if they chose to leave.

    Funny how two people can see things do differently. I see 4.5 players I'd be upset about if they signed elsewhere.

    Time for Bryse Wilson to be DFA'd. Murphy has no trust in him which makes him totally useless to carry.

    Mitch White had a surprisingly very good August as mostly a SP. Would be funny if the Brewers helped him finally figure things out. 5 G, 21 IP, 14 H, 7 R, 5 ER, 6 BB, 24 SO, 1 HBP 2.14 ERA 2.87 FIP 30% K-rate 7% BB-rate .229 xwOBA 32% whiff rate 84 Avg EV 24% hard hit rate 4% barrel rate
