  1. If Trevor blows another save to extend the losing streak, I think it will be a foregone conclusion that Uribe becomes the default closer.
  2. Brandon has demonstrated for us the heart of a true team player. Whatever it takes to help, even if it involves stepping a bit out of his comfort zone to do so. I hope he is a mainstay of the Brewers for a long time!
  3. He certainly proved he could perform when the lights were on. It would be worth a try!
  4. While I realize that Nick Kurtz might be untouchable, what do you think about a trade with the Athletics? Brewers get Kurtz and a strong AA or higher pitcher. Athletics get Peralta, Megill and a top prospect not named Made. The Athletics are weak in pitching, and that could be the tipping point.
  5. I could live with that...😆.
  6. OK-I could get banned from Brewer Fanatic after proposing this, but here goes: Athletics get Peralta, Megill and Bauers Brewers get Nick Kurtz and a mid or top-tier pitcher from their farm system. If I read correctly, Kurtz's salary is under Freddy's, but not by much. Think what it would be like to have a two-headed power combo at first base. Waiting for the fallout... 😏
  7. Yes on trades for Ortiz, Rodriguez and Mitchell. No on Ashby and Vaughn. I'm going to have to stop being so long-winded...
  8. Much as I would like to be optimistic, I do not see a path for the Brew Crew to recover this time. I hope I am mistaken but, aside from the the obvious body blow of losing two home games to start the series, the bullpen is being taxed again, while the Dodgers' stellar starting rotation is making their Achilles heel-type bullpen a non-factor. Unless our team can get out to an early lead (with more than one or two runs) a sweep is not beyond the realm of possibility.
  9. If I were to venture a guess-and if Rock is thinking about life-each day given to us at that age is a blessing.
  10. Murph is a results-oriented manager. If Megill blows a third consecutive save opportunity, I believe he will make that switch.
  11. Not necessarily so. You are discounting COSS (change of scenery syndrome)—and playoff fever can be catchy. A similar transformation can be seen in Ryan McMahon's output since becoming a Yankee.
  12. Would you feel any differently once the winning streak hits 35? 😉
  13. If the Brew Crew had to send a pitcher down to Nashville why was Payamps not considered rather than Henderson? Perhaps it would be more valuable for him to get his mechanics corrected there with more pitching time available.
  14. So-is there anyone who wants to get THAT optimistic about the Brew Crew? I hear crickets… 😉
  15. You have a great career ahead of you as a writer of fiction...🤣
  16. 92-70, if the better side of Freddy Peralta prevails...
  17. Really? I’d like to know what wall it’s hanging on… 🙃
  18. It seems that a certain Brent Suter had success with the Brew Crew, with a similar maximum velocity. One can only hope…
