  1. I think we should give up looking because if Hoskins doesn't have a bounce back year we have Ernesto Martinez who hopefully will be our future waiting in the wings at 1st base in Nashville. He may even be called up this season if he starts out well in AAA Nashville. https://www.milb.com/player/ernesto-martinez-jr-667803 I think the money would be better spent somewhere else. I also said before, Hoskins knee was never 100% last season and may never be, but who knows. Also, Hoskins has never been a high avg hitter either, .235 may be the best we will see from him with 25-30 HR's if he has a good season. Personally I don't think the Brewers are even looking that hard.
  2. Now will the D arrive for the win?
  3. Here is our only chance now.
  4. 3 and out now, come on.
  5. This could be over now with the conservative play calling by Packers.
  6. Except maybe the Eagles.
  7. Wow, M Willis just got blasted.
  8. Jordan Love hand injury, may play the second 1/2 but I think Willis is as capable as Love.
  9. Some type of Financial Fair Play is the only way to keep the leagues talent fair. There is no reason why 4 teams spend 800% more money than the Miami Marlins. The only good news though is that the Yankees, Phillies, Dodgers and Mets are starting to get old, but they will just reload with spending more money.
  10. Maybe he is taking over for Devin Williams.
  11. On Fox News: Credit Card delinquency/default rate up 12% in 2024 and over 1.17 trillion owed to CC companies. Estimates say over 12 billion of that will never be paid. I think the never be paid estimate is on the low side. Crazy

  13. Yes absolutely they should because just about every MLB team is short pitchers every season. The Brewers used at least 36 different pitchers last season.
  14. I hope he does because he will be 32 on February 10th and Wade Miley is 5 years older than Brandon. Any news on Wade?
  15. I hope SF cleans the Lions clock tonight in a blowout.
  16. Just like Aaron Rodgers.
  17. How about trading Rhys Hoskins for a next season 42 year old Justen Verlander?
  18. Trading Hoskins would be ok but I think his knee bothered him just about all last season. How about Hoskins for either Sherzer or Verlander a Straight up trade?
  19. As far as a pitcher helping the Brewer younger pitchers better themselves Verlander would be a much better choice/teacher/coach than Scherzer. Scherzer runs to much on pure adrenaline. I would have to choose Verlander as a better complete pitching choice. There both at the end of there careers so I'm looking at the total benefits to help the team.
  20. Ok, I forgot about that line of thinking, I thought Counsell was the famous one for that. My personal opinion is to simply put your best hitters and hottest hitters towards the front of the front of the order as being a better strategy.
  21. The only reason I can think of for batting him in that spot is his running speed. I believe we modeled ourselves last season after the Arizona Diamondbacks more so than the traditional lineup . But I agree, you have to be a much better hitter than Black to be batting #3.
  22. Putin' Attacks 100+ Ukrainian Targets; Military Airfields, Power Grid and Radar Stations, 'Bombed' on Christmas day. What a guy.
  23. Can you believe Spring Training games start in 60 days? February 22, Brewers play the Reds, not sure when they report. Its not that far away now.
  24. The first guy that came to my mind was Ron Theobald but he was 5" 8" LOL He signed as a rookie for $11,800. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Theobald#:~:text=In March 1970%2C Theobald was, seasons before retiring in 1973. https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/ron-theobald/
