  1. Rhys's knee will have another year of healing which I believe was never 100% last season and he should be 100% comming into this season, he will have a better year in 2025 in my opinion.
  2. Jackson Got off to a slow start last season, if he could get off to a good start it would be easy for him to bat .280 this season I believe. Plus he rolled his ankle against the Reds that sure didn't help him but injuries do happen. That is a fair expectation IMO.
  3. That is a crazy ammount of money, I can't believe the MLB lets a teams defurred money get so high just to stay under the salrey cap. Just putting it on credit should not be allowed. Guggenheim Baseball Management purchased the Dodgers in 2012 after the team went bankrupt and it will happen again. Just straight up BS!
  4. The Brewers just love those pitchers at the tail end of there careers. We have been pretty lucky so far, or... is it a for real thing that really does work? The new scenery and trade I'm sure reinvigorates them for half the season. Also, Quintana would love to beat the team (Cubs) he used to play for. That is a personal rivalry.
  5. Tipping pitches is a for real issue, Devin Williams had the same problem, remember Pete Alonzo? He had really good movement but got crushed also and we lost.
  6. Nick Solak of ESPN believes that the Packers should trade Doubs, who was suspended by the Packers early in the season for conduct detrimental to the team, to the Seattle Seahawks for DK Metcalf, who may not be too thrilled about his own role on that roster: “While I love the versatility of the Packers’ wide receiver room (when it is healthy), they could use a clear WR1 who can take over games with consistent eight-plus-target outings. Expect them to be in the Tee Higgins hunt, but if getting him gets too expensive for them, they could package someone like Romeo Doubs — who will be in the final year of his rookie deal in 2025 — to grab a frustrated star from another team. Garrett Wilson? DK Metcalf? I’d bet on the latter.” https://wisportsheroics.com/green-bay-packers-romeo-doubs-dk-metcalf/
  7. Cubs remain a longshot for Bregman. That means the two-time All Star's list is likely down to just three American League franchises: the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays. Houston met with free-agent infielder Jorge Polanco in recent days, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman, marking the first reported non-Bregman meeting for the Astros in the current free-agent cycle. A switch-hitting third and second baseman by trade, Polanco disapointed in 2024 with an OPS+ seven-percent below league average and just 1.3 Wins Above Replacement across 118 games. A larger sample suggests Polanco can be a versatile impact bat near the top of Houston's lineup. Polanco smacked 134 extra-base hits across three seasons in Minnesota from 2021-23, producing an OPS+ 20 percent above league average. Perhaps most notably, a change of scenery could do wonders for Polanco at the plate, as The Athletic's Eno Sarris noted rather insightfully last month. Polanco isn't a Bregman-level player. He's also still a starting-caliber piece, one who should check in at no more than a one-to-two-year deal around $10 million per season. The Astros will pursue Bregman as far as owner Jim Crane's wallet allows. Don't expect a retaliatory spending spree if the franchise's leader walks. Houston, frankly, has one path to a winning offseason. If Bregman leaves, signing Polanco is a worthwhile (and sensible) start at picking up the pieces.
  8. NFL admits a costly mistake against the Packers, but now it's too late. I guess there opinion is just "Oh Well" 😕 in a million dollar sport.
  9. This is definitely the wrong thread for this but I just heard of this guy. I hope he progresses quickly. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/eric-bitonti/sa3022866/stats?position=3B
  10. Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people. -Mike Tyson-

  12. I give the edge to the Brewers because the Cubs bullpen will still give up a lot of runs just like last season. Also the Brewers have the managerial edge, Murphy was always the mentor.
  13. Now we just need a 3rd baseman now that Ortiez is at SS.
  14. Do the Brewers have any 3rd base favorites now that Ortiz has moved to short? The only one I can think of is Oliver Dunn unless we acquire someone in a trade with our overloaded outfield?
  15. Watching the round table and LeRoy Butler said: The Brewers are a 1st class organization with the way they handled the Bob Uecker situation the last year or two letting him work when he wanted. Most franchises would have said to him, time to hang it up and retire. Shout out to the Brewers and we will miss you Bob Uecker.
  16. Fox 6 is talking about Uecker now and he told a story about the only time he was legitimately kicked out of a locker room and Vince Lombardi was the guy who kicked him out after a game. He will be missed that is for sure for his broadcasting ability and humor.
  17. https://www.mlb.com/news/bob-uecker-navigates-cancer-and-tragedy#:~:text=That temporarily denied Uecker his,January to remove two melanomas.
  18. I did not hear about the cancer until now but I suspected maybe it was.
  19. I remember that, when Yelich was all choked up and watery eyes and he kept it private as I'm sure Uke wanted. A baseball icon for sure. RIP Bob.
  20. Just heard that on the radio also WISN.
  21. To many Chimichangas, it is the Alejandro Kirk and Josh Naylor effect setting in.
  22. I agree 100% because his ceiling max is about 3 innings when he is right so being a middle reliever would be perfect for him. We have to somehow prevent his injuries from reoccurring, He is awesome when his arm is right. Heck, starting pitchers are lucky to make it threw 6 innings now days anyway.
  23. Agreed, Contreras definitely is way better than Haase no argument there. There was a 2 month span where Contreras looked really burnt out tired during last summers heat. I kept saying to my family, "I think he needed a day off." I believe it was right before the all star break and maybe a little after. It was in the upper 80's every single day it seemed during his slump.
  24. What are Eric Haase Major weaknesses? It has to be his game calling or arm because he definitely has speed and seems to have at least mediocre ability at the plate when he does play? I think Contreras catching 155 games is a little on the high side, especially in the dog days of summer when it is 90+ degrees out, even though he was fairly consistent all season. Any opinions?
  25. Yes he does and can, it's called a weight and strength training program with keeping flexibility. Oliver Dunn is the same exact height as Black yet weighs 20 pounds more. Beef up some Black.
