  1. 95 degrees in Cinn now with a high of 98 later.
  2. It all started with Matt Arnold Senior Vice President and General Manager and the ending of David Stearns.
  3. I'm sure Murphy is trying everything he can think of to get Hoskins going before the playoffs. He probably won't even play in the second game.
  4. Brewers magic number is 19 to win the central Division. Brewers wins and Cubs losses.
  5. News: DL Hall is expected to be added to the Brewers’ roster prior to Friday’s doubleheader against the Reds.
  6. Murphy likes Rhys because of his intangibles, just like Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols brought to the Cardinals at the end of there careers.
  7. I would say bench Rhys but Bauers is just as bad, at least split the time between the two and see if one gets hot.
  8. I still can't believe Civale is only 28.
  9. If Mitchell can get hot that would be a BIG PLUS!
  10. Taylor Rogers is about the only one I might be interested in since we always seem to have pitching shortages. BUT>>> In 2024, Rogers will earn a base salary of $12,000,000, while carrying a total salary of $12,000,000. Seems like a whole lot of money for him.
  11. MILWAUKEE — Ostensibly, the Giants are still in a playoff race. But their actions Wednesday suggested otherwise. On the field, they couldn’t recover from five runs leveled against Kyle Harrison and fell back to .500 in a 5-3 loss to the Brewers. The Athletic reported the team had placed a trio of veterans — relievers Taylor Rogers and Tyler Matzek and second baseman Thairo Estrada — on irrevocable waivers, making them available to any team willing to pay the remainder of their salaries. “It’s frustrating,” Harrison said of the Giants’ season-long struggle to cement themselves among the National League’s true contenders. “I wouldn’t say we’re looking at other teams, but yeah, we want to come out with a win, especially going to the fifth with no runs (allowed). I’ve just got to be better. That sucked. On to the next one.” While it’s not uncommon for players to end up on waivers this time of year, it’s also not a ringing endorsement from a team’s front office when they put their Opening Day second baseman and a fixture of their bullpen up for grabs at the going rate of salary relief.
  12. He gets into way to many 3-2 counts, Maybe he just doesn't trust is stuff as much anymore.
  13. If he is pitching the first game of the DH he will be facing Collen Rea.
  14. I think moving them up when there getting on base is a good strategy, plus he has the speed which is also a great thing earlier in the order. But you also mentioned he is good at moving runners around the bases which would be better in the middle or later part of the lineup. So for me its worth a try to see how he responds but I wouldn't be committed to if it doesn't pan out quickly with only 28 games left before the playoffs. Playoff time is not time for experiments, unless there is an injury to deal with.
  15. 30 games left but I sure don't want the Brewers to be going into the playoffs playing like crap. I believe we can add a pitcher Sept 1st which we need very much at this point. It's time to turn it up a notch and have confidence not push in the clutch and coast into the playoffs.
  16. I agree, at the very least they should split the time at 1st base.
  17. Also Cubs have won 14 of the last 20.
  18. I know 7 walks the Pirates gave them to go along with 13 hits for the Cubs. Terrible.
  19. Oh OK, no clutch hitting at all for the Brewers.
  20. Yes by Adamas and Chourio both with a man on.
  21. Ok, I see what you mean being the third best division winner.
  22. We're slipping away? Brewers have the biggest division lead in all of baseball 9 games.
