The complaining mostly started after the All Star Game. Brewers are - 18 and 12 after ASG. 10 teams are 18-12 or better after ASG. A's will be tougher than you think.
You get a dozen people/managers you will get a dozen different lineups. Counsell was same old same old every single stinking game and considered the GOD'S gift of managers and I never hated a manager as much as him. Now he is the highest paid manager history. Politics and opinions is all it ever is.
Good answer, we could be in 1st place by 30 games and the same people every single game would complain about Murphy and his terrible lineups. It gets old.
OPS doesn't make sense to me that you could add together two fractions with completely different denominators (plate appearances and at bats) and arrive at anything truly meaningful.
It also seems like OPS over-counts singles. If you do nothing but hit singles, your OPS would be 2.000. If you do nothing but hit doubles, your OPS would be 3.000 and only triples would be 4.000. So only triples is only considered twice as good as only singles? That doesn't sound reasonable to me.
Black still hasn't proven to me he can even hit in the Bigs. Some guys just can't make that jump (Weimer/Hiura) and I'm starting to believe he is also one of them. Now is not the time of year to start trying to see if he can play up here unless an injury occurs and you have no other choice.
I hope so because Perkins is an all around better player than Tyler Black. Perkins was a main piece/contributor in many of the wins we had this season and just as fast also, no comparison IMHO.
Mitchell & especially Black are under preforming and Murphy said he should have pulled Williams sooner but we used 6 pitchers and didn't want to burn a 7th, which I agree with 100% but Megill got slapped with the loss and not Williams, We just had a clunker in the 9th and 10th inning.
