  1. Agreed and Agreed. JJ seems to be uncomfortable everywhere but the 2 hole. Play to his strength.
  2. Picking up right where he left off last season. Thanks Soup! If it wasn't tough enough to beat Lincecum, let's spot em 3 early.
  3. I'd be interested in the Prince bobble as well.
  4. 1) What AJAY said in his #1. 2) I will never give up on this team in September again, no matter how putrid the play. 3) I will stop stressing about results, and start appreciating the beauty and complexity of baseball more.
  5. They will continue to have the most annoying fans this side of Boston.
  6. Away on Opening Day- Do whatever I can to get home in time, throw my ballcap on, grab a High Life and some peanuts/sunflower seeds. Watch the game planted firmly in my couch's butt grooves. Home Opener- Usually wake up earlier than normal, play Brewer Fever and Turnin Up the Heat a couple times. Eat some breakfast, turn on the radio to hear all the live morning shows from the ballpark. Get all the stuff together, pack the car, and off to the yard. Usually get there 3 hours or so early, fire up the grill and have some libations, all with the giddy smile of a kid on Christmas morning. Always have to be in for the foul line intros. This thread is making me even more anxious for Tuesday and Friday.
  7. 1) Rick Vaughn 2) Tire store 3) Religious freedom 4) NBC, WTMJ4 5) Jalapeno pepper, another couple inches of movement 6) Los Yankees 7) Swimming, 200m medley 9) 4 10) In the batter's eye. 12) Sunroom. Coffee anyone? 13) Big plane, small jet, bus 14) No 15) Anyone who was alive the last time the Indians won a pennant 16) Car Theft 17) Janitor 18) Are you saying Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball? Ah Jesus, I like him very much. 19) "ole BS" 20) KFC Got me on 8 and 11.
  8. Had the Kentucky Breakfast Stout last night. Unbelievable. Makes the All-Beer first team. It'd be great with some eggs and bacon, haha.
  9. BA said earlier in the broadcast that the opening series would be in HD. Hope he's right. Looking forward to making some "calls" next Tuesday afternoon with a beer in hand and a ballcap on.
  10. I know it doesn't count, but I'm digging their approach at the plate so far. More big league, less beer league. Love that they have 3 oppo extra base hits.
  11. Looper struggling again. His location is not there yet. Hoping it's still rust.
  12. What MJLiverock said. I have a friend at work who is trying this, and is making it seem like he just split a damn atom. It's incredibly annoying. I get up at 6:45, make it to work by 8, and still get stuff done.
  13. Thanks for the input, sounds like the descriptions I got were exaggerated. I've been in the terrace for the last 5 opening days, and haven't had any issues. Hence why I was a little leery.
  14. Just got my 9 pack in the mail, my normal seats are in the Terrace Box, and I was sent Loge Bleacher tickets for the home opener. If theres ONE place in the park I'd like to avoid, it'd be the bleachers on Opening Day. From what I have heard, its a big frat party out there. If it's as bad as I've heard, I'm tempted to sell them. Since I know people here are baseball connaisseurs, I'm interested in some input. Are my assumptions way off?
  15. CBS looks like crap on my TV, which is fairly new and 1080p. I don't think it's a 1080i issue, hockey and football on NBC look great, as well as TNT's NBA coverage. It might be their feed, or it might be a bandwidth issue with WDJT, since they have so many subchannels.
  16. I really, really disagree with this. He was going to pass it to Jerel, but then Jerel turned the other way at the last second. Hayward's momentum carried him forward, it's not a mental mistake in the least. It was comitting a turnover while trying to avoid throwing the ball away. Stuff like this happens, it just sucks that it happened when it did.
  17. One of my best friends just proposed to his girlfriend who just about everyone close to him despises. I want to say something, but I don't want to be the only one. Argh.
  18. Matthews- 31 minMcNeal- 26 min Hayward- 27 min. MU down to 10 scholarship guys. McNeal sat most of the first half. Someone needs to play, and the bench guys running around with each other for the last 3 minutes doesn't help them all that much. That's why Jerel was last to come out, so the bench guys can have some game experience with a starter or two in. Mountain out of a molehill. They got plenty of rest.
  19. Count me in as a casual fan. I haven't blocked out time to watch it yet, but I follow it, and even found myself cheering when the US hung a crooked number on Hugo's boys last night.
  20. If Acker plays like he did last night, they can win at least 1 out of the last 3.
  21. Liked his voice enough, did a decent job describing the action. Needs to find his rhythm though... some calls seemed to be rushed/emphasized more than necessary. One of the great things about Jim was he was able to fill time very well, as Cory gets more familiar with the minors that will come. He'll get there. Huge difference with a spring broadcast than regular season.
