  1. After the bunt, I'm hoping for a leadoff basehit to make Z's head explode.
  2. This one is going to keep me up tonight. Flipping Weeks. Unbelievable. I had to do some BIG TIME damage control after that error. I was watching the game with my girlfriend.... needless to say she was not a fan of my profanity laced tirade at the television.
  3. We saw the difference between a team of professional hitters and a beer leage softball team. How many Brewers would have taken the pitches the Cubs did tonight, especially in the 9th? I said it yesterday, they're in trouble. I'm hoping for one win.
  4. I get that feeling too, like the platoon will mess both guys up to the point where neither will be useful. Bush was in a nice rythym, coming off his best start, then he sits for 16 days. How do you recover from that? There's a reason no one has done it. McClung so much as said he was messed up after the game. I have a bad feeling about this series. Cubs have the momentum.
  5. I really have a bad feeling we will end Thursday afternoon down 3 games after dropping 3 of 4 to the Cubs. I would be more positive, but I am a lifelong Brewer fan. You come to expect these things.
  6. Fontenot clears em with a double. Ugh. I'm pretty sure we're mentally screwed for the next 4 games. We drop 2 of 3 at home blowing a lead, then they come back from 5 down. I don't know how the momentum of Ned's brain fart and the Cubs bats waking up isn't a big deal. Hopefully CC can be the stopper once again.
  7. And the Cubs tie and are threatening... could today be this year's version of the Ramirez walk off?
  8. I'm not gonna freak out if we lose this one..... BUUUUUT.... what a springboard this win would be, with CC and Benny going the next two. You're looking at a red hot team coming back to Miller Park for the biggest homestand to date this season. Here's hoping someone hypnotized Soup and told him its October and they're in NYC.
  9. I have this phobia of the Cardinals that I can't explain. I fear them much more than the Cubs, mainly because they play better fundamental baseball. In a slugfest, we can hold our own. When it comes to needing to execute late in the game, that favors the Cards big time. I think the Yost-LaRussa thing is huge. He's got a big time mental block when it comes to going against Tony. Now would be a nice time to get over that.
  10. I don't mean to pick on you, but this is the EXACT mentality that I encountered in high school that got me to the point where I loathe everything that has to do with Madison. Sorry to break it to you, but Madison is not the holy grail of education in this state. No school is. It all depends on the individual.

  12. I'm not saying a word to any of my Cub-fan friends. I remember that feeling last year, beginning with the Ramirez walk-off. Let them deal with however they feel, I like the way our boys are playing. Of course, because this thread was started we will naturally drop a game tomorrow. I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.
  13. Insurance. Always good to have. That a kid, Prince.
  14. Uecker in rare form tonight... the Jerry Lane impression, plus the Osirrrrris pronunciation. Hilarious.
  15. Really Craig, going after the first pitch there?
  16. YEAH!! How bout some bad defense helping us?
  17. bucks- As I offered to T BONE, if you have any questions about Marquette I'd be more than happy to answer them. Feel free to PM me.
  18. Let's not forget Bill Hall with another big hit off a RHP. He had the 2 run double on Friday, and led it off today. If Russill Hallyan continues their level of production, I think Billy gets that starting job back soon.
  19. With all that pesky playoff pressure off, they can focus on being over .500 for two years in a row. Now THAT'S going for it!
  20. Same old Brewers. When the pressure is on, the choke. Just like last year. I've been fooled again. And the sick thing is, I'll be back watching tomorrow. I hate this franchise sometimes.
  21. From the JS: Sabathia can attest to that, and even relate to Hart's shower. He was soaked in a beer bath after his first victory. He didn't miss his chance to pay back Hart. "It's pretty cool to be able to come in and be able to fit in," Sabathia said. "It's been awesome. This makes it a lot better, a lot easier for me to fit in. It's easy to do that when you've got great guys in the clubhouse." How about 5 more years with these great guys, CC? Just sign on the dotted line http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  22. And... on a fateful night in April 2004... he did too: http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/apr06/chad421b.jpg
