  1. Great article Tim Muma! "Playing the long game with Chuorio is a prime example of valuing and trusting your stats, scouts, and ability to mold players in your system. This must be done elsewhere with Brewers' decisions: identify the talent you believe in, do what it takes to secure them, and make your call, without fear of failure. Applying this strategy to trading Burnes means a different perspective on who to target. Focus on quality, not quantity, generally speaking. The key acquisition: One MLB-ready bat with an elite ceiling." Harken to these words and this philosophy my fellow fanatics. March forward and get that major league ready quality bat. Coby Mayo would indeed be an OUTSTANDING aquisition. Go ahead and make an offer they cannot refuse. Give up Burnes and one of their many outfielders. One Oriole in the hand is better than 2 in the bush. Go Large! Don't look back but push forward.
  2. We need to swing for a power third baseman. No more Montasterio platoons at the corner. I like Andru but not as our starting third baseman. If Adames is dealt and Turang slides to the hole we need a second baseman. Might be a second base platoon which includes Tyler Black. If they don't swing for a big bat at third then let the young ones play just like the Packer's did with their WR's.
  3. That indeed is good news. The Milwaukee Brewer's international scouting presence is really reaping benefits these days. Just another way for a small market team to stay in the game. Keep it up Brew Crew!
  4. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/baltimore-orioles I am thinking a Burnes and Delvin Williams package to the Orioles who are just oozing in good young players. Your thoughts? View full rumor

  6. I am all in on trading Burnes but hoping it will be someone other than the Braves who don't presently have a strong minor league system. Was hoping we could business with the Orioles. Lots to like in that organization.
  7. After reading the post of Closet Brewer Fan I did a little of research on 1b/3b Aaron Schrunk. Found this in an article in the Denver Gazette dated 8/5/23 by Luke Zahlmann "I let some of those external factors get to me," Schunk said. "It was my first full season and I wanted it so bad that I almost took myself out of it. During that year, I didn't know how to talk about struggling. At that time, I had never really struggled like that before." Dr. Douglas Chadwick was one of the first people Schunk found comfort with. He had to learn how to talk to someone, and he found solace in the Rockies Director of Mental Skills Development. He worked with the team's mental health specialists to build a routine that would help his mind heal and put him back on track to making the majors." So important to tend to your mental health and so glad it is now being discussed openly and honestly. Glad the stigmas surrounding it are diminishing. I find myself really pulling for Aaron to make it to the big leagues. Milwaukee's clubhouse might be a good place to get support and encouragement on this journey.
  8. Interesting thoughts but highly doubt Miley signs at 15-16 million. My guess is around 11 million but nothing more than a guess. I also think Burnes will be gone sometime this winter. I'm ok with that as we push our young player poker chips in.
  9. I am a big fan of Wade Miley. His pitching and his leadership will have a great impact this year on a very young Brewers squad. Gives the starting rotation more juice and the clubhouse more life and wisdom. Win Win for Miley and the Brew Crew. Glad to have the Master Brewer back!
  10. Cade Horton of the Cubs would be a wonderful addition. Play him at third on his off days. The Winter Meetings would be the time to move Burnes or gauge his trade value. Do not keep him until the July Trade deadline. Move him this winter. He is a really good pitcher but has never won more than 12 games in a season. Always pitches alot of innings but is he a big game pitcher? If Woodruff was healthy in last years playoffs I would have led off with him and not Burnes. Once again really good but not great. Really good is really good and you can never have too many really good pitchers.
  11. I would love to have Wade Miley back in Milwaukee. Great addition to the staff and clubhouse. Kind of like having a player coach. These young Brewers need a Master Brewer around. So much to learn from this dude.
  12. Sorry but not feeling any of these aquisitions. Maybe we grow thru a Winter Meeting trade but not for these prospects.
  13. Wouldn't trade either of those brewing giants at this time. Start William Contreras and allow Querro time to gro as a backup. William C is the real deal and so is his backup.
  14. Might be a good idea. Open up the spce in the outfield and dominate the infield at First Base. Unless their trade aquisitions next week open up other opportunities.

  15. No money or prospects for Jimenez. That would be crazy train. No need for that kind of a far fetched attempt. Let him sink and sleep ! He is a Winkler.
  16. Run it backi in the context of trading Adames and Burnes. Lets see what we get for the these two dudes and then run it back. Let they youth run it back! Let the trade aquisitions run it back? Just run it back Brew dudes!!!!!!!!
  17. Great Day to be a Brewer Fanatic! Feels like an NFL Draft day and Packers just got some great first round draft picks. I digress. This is just ushering in a new era of Brewer baseball. Young , athletic team with some holes but the Winter Meetings start on Sunday. What other gifts will there be for us to open. I am ready for an Adames less and Burnes less team . Hopefully they will get a big bat at 3rd base. Hopefully Tyler Black slides in at second with Turang moving over to the hole. Once again just giddy and gleeful!
