  1. Really not sure the Yankee's are our best trading partner. Would love to make some deals with the Baltimore Orioles. Now there is a farm system to propagate.
  2. If the Yankees are motivated for a trade let's trade for something that makes sense. Or not trade and sign a FA 3B or 1B. Cooler heads need to prevail.
  3. let's be real. Middle infielder is not our focus. Lets keep ur eyes focused on the prize. The prize is clearly not a middle infielder :)
  4. good point. My hope is not for a Voit but for a Rhys Hoskins or someone in the same ilk.
  5. Appreciate the article but not at all excited about a trade with Burnes centering on a middle infielder. Need a 3B or 1B difference maker. I would not at all endorse a trade involving Torres as the centerpiece.
  6. I'll take a wait and see approach to this offseason. Strange unexpected things can happen. Look at what the Bucks did in getting Dame Lillard. Maybe some of that mojo will travel the brewers way. Hopeful and grateful.
  7. Still don't understand why Matt Arnold said no to Yelich moving to first base. Looks like it could be a great transition for him and the team.
  8. My preference is Rhys Hoskins who would clean up our need for a clean up player. First Base would be solid.
  9. I was just hoping the Burnes trade would target a big bat in our lineup. Need some thump at American Family Field. Need someone at first and third who can hit. Someone who has some power and can run the bases. We do not need "slow mo's" like Daniel Vogelbach.
  10. I agree with a previous poster who indicated wait and reserve judgement until more deals proceed. This is a "setting the stage" for a future or future deals. Will tap the brakes until then.
  11. Too early to move in the direction of Santana. Many other decisions including trading Burnes/Adames will speak into the team's needs. Still not quite sure why Yellich couldn't slide over to first.
  12. The video helped take some of the salt out of the wound. Yet his curveball is rather salty.
  13. The car is in the driveway reving up. Looking forward to when the pedal is put to the metal. Lots of trades on the way.
  14. Good point Paul. Brewers are not only power starved but also small market money starved. Hard for me to see them make QO. There just isn't that kind of money in the Brewers cookie jar. A trade seems much more likely but it would hard to lose his clubhouse presence, his smile and his "always ready to dump gatorade" personality.
  15. Appreciate the info and background to this MLB reimbursement system. Happy for Contreras. Good end of the year bonus for him. Will the Brewers pursue a long term pre-emptive contract to keep him happy? Catcher is one of the positions MLB teams struggle to find good positional players and we have a VERY good one. My guess is that nothing of this sort happens this year. Great article!
  16. "In the offseason, the Brewers decided to move on from Sanders, trading him to Philadelphia along with Jim Lonborg, Ken Brett, and Earl Stephenson in exchange for Don Money, John Vukovich, and Bill Champion. The Phillies flipped Sanders to Minnesota a month later." Great trip down memory lane. I forgot about this awesome trade which brought us some memorable Brewers especially Don Money, Now a member of the Brewers Walk of Fame. The Moneyman was with the Brewer Vrew for 10 years (1973-1983) and played on the great 1982 team. What a great trade!
  17. Appreciate your response. IMHO I think you can look at the other pastures and still appreciate your own pasture. I grew up cheering for people in alot of different pastures. Pastures in St Louis, Chicago, Boston and New York to name a few. So grateful the people of Seattle let go of something that has become so special here in Milwaukee. I am sure there were people in Seattle who greived the loss of something that had become special to them.
  18. Trading Williams to possibly afford signing Willy Adames. I am just wondering if their is some trepidation with trading someone who is as popular and loved in the clubhouse by the players. It's a long season and people like Willy appear to make the ride smoother. That being said it does not appear to make sense to hold onto such a highly inconsistent bat. We need better than a 220 average at SS. I also belive that when Hader was traded the Brewers thought they had deals with other teams for othr players. Maybe they wanting to get their ducks in order before pulling any major deals so a repeat of last time doesn't happen.
  19. Well said. Plethora of relievers is a relieving feeling to me :)
  20. The no trade clause would be a factor in attempting a trade. It might be more of a contract dump for the Brewers without much player personnel return. Interesting thought Turbo on using the money to sign Burnes. Small Market magic.
  21. I wish Willy's bat was more consistently full of "sound and fury". :)
  22. Appreciate the article. An upgrade in the infield with more power is just what the Dr has ordered. Looking forward to seeing what Matt Arnold has in his sites. Thinking Willy Adames is too expensive a sign. Would really miss the Willie energy and clubhouse presence. That will be difficult to replace. However packaging Adames and one of our outfielders could bring in a big bat. Marte would look good at SS in Milwaukee. I'd still like to see them figure something out with the Orioles.
