He's baaaaaaaaack Kind of like how Ponytail thinks he banned me from logging into the forum, but through the simple use of a proxy and scrambler I can see everything and I have already registered back onto the forum. DieHOFDie, congrats on figuring out how to use an anonymous proxy. You've got a leg up on a 9th grader now.

I'm not sure who "The Cirillo Fan" would have been over here.... He's some guy over there who keeps saying how Jeff Cirillo is the best player ever, and uses it in just about every context possible.

Altho she's way off, she thinks you're working at the Arch.......... because that's what they have in St Louis.

Now the claim (by carrie/cottonhead) is that we're sending users over there to act as Cubs trolls to "poison the well", so to speak because Cubs fans are somehow naturally bound by a high standard which doesn't make them obnoxious.

[ Brian, have you gotten a greater than usual number of hits on the About Us page today? ] I won't know until tomorrow, I think. Google Analytics doesn't report up to the minute. Yesterday was 23 non-bot page views for the About Us page.

I'd jump in a little more often, but it's gotten to the point where their login takes 4 minutes on a dial-up account. ] Yeah, if there's a question that doesn't get answered or I think I can provide a stat-oriented perspective on something that isn't usually in play over there, I'll chime in. Unfortunately, I'm assuming that I'll just end up having a target on my back like I do over at the JSOnline forum with Hoffy and mep/Joe.

[ I seems when it turns around November I stop taking the dog for a walk & my weight just soars. ] I hear ya. What the wife and I did last winter was invested in some real nice winter clothes... When it gets cold, I recommend: - long underwear shirt - long underwear pants (possibly two pair at a time.. there are some real thin ones that won't make you feel like you're wearing lead pants) - A Headsock. Not the creepy bank stick-up one, but the one with just one hole for both eyes. - NEOS overshoes. I'm not sure where you live, but people in my neck of the woods (Waukesha) suck at shoveling. Get some decent walking shoes (I'm a fan of the 75$ a pair Saucony brand), and slip these right over them. It's the comfort of a walking shoe and the traction of a clete. We walked just about all winter (even when it was negative 20) until the wife came down with an illness in April. If you get these things out of the way in winter, you give yourself less excuses to say the hell with it.

Extremely small strike zone tonight... After realizing he wasn't hitting/getting the corners, he had to come down main street and got rocked. As far as being a head case goes..... maybe. He's a smart guy, which is good and bad. I guess I'll reserve judgement until the next outing to see if he's just really missing a lot or what. Either way, control pitchers = not always reliable.

I was simply relaying to you what I sense around here when they pitch poorly. ] I apologize for misreading your post but still disagree on your point. I think the tone of the board has been overwhelmingly in favor of Bush and his secondary numbers, at least with the established user base. [ In the end, I think Peavey nailed it a few pages back when he just said that Cappy might not be very good...or however he phrased it. Maybe we just need to face that. ] I think Cappy's in the upper tier of control guys.... but yeah, he's a control guy, and when he's off, it's real bad. I don't think he's as good as last year, but he's most certainly better than he pitched tonight.

[ Yes because when you start a game it is a whole different mentality. Villanueava was born and bread as a starter, not a reliever. ] So he can pitch when the pressure's on, but not when the pressure's off? I would agree with you if he was getting tired as the innings went on because he was used to quantity instead of length, but he went out there with a fresh start and got rocked. -
[ Could I be a little hard on him? Sure. But the numbers don't lie. What happened to CV tonight is an aberration. What's been happening to Capuano has been nearly a yearlong trend. To me, there aren't any excuses left anymore. ] Because you've run out of patience doesn't change the facts about what happened tonight.
