  1. The only guy I prefer to Powell is his predecessor, who not only has a perfect delivery, knows everything there is to know about baseball and its history, and calls a great game, but does so having to carry that mumbling moron he sits next to. The Brewers have had an unbelievable run of radio voices, so it may be a lot to ask, but I really hope Jim stays. Really!
  2. CC is likely to be the second most loved man in New York (Jeter) over the next couple years. After he starts to diminish however, before his contract is up, he will likely be the most hated.
  3. This doesn't make much sense. This is something that seemingly the entire league, including teams who can afford to take chances/make mistakes are unwilling to do, and you are suggesting the Brewers who are more familiar with his injury status/history than anyone do it?
  4. This is a Packer town. Packers were on over the air, while the Brewers were on cable. The Brewer game was over early. Those numbers make perfect sense.
  5. If the Brewers want to go back to the playoffs, they're going to have to (at least come close).
  6. I admitedly have not looked at the numbers where Moyer is concerned vs. R/L, but I am not at all in agreement with Weeks and Hall being in there today. If you want o play one or the other, I guess I could live with that. If we have learned nothing else in this series, it is that defense and patince at the plate are key. Not sure those two help at all in that regard.
  7. That makes sense. The Brewers are doing what they've done all year - bad defense and no offense, while the Cubs are not doing any of the things they've done all year.
  8. This team needs to collectively put it together this weekend to get CC an opportunity in game 5 by whatever means necessary. After all he has done to carry them and after the tough game yesterday they owe him that! If he doesn't get it done at that point, so be it, but they need to pick him up for a change and make that game happen.
  9. Its funny, because I am one that pretty much all season has been talking about how obviously better the Cubs were then the Brewers. I still believe that, but if you were to ask me which team has the best chance to come back from an 0-2 hole right now, I'm not sure I wouldn't say the Brewers. That's based almost entirely on the fact that they get to come home now while the Cubs have to go to LA (although having to face underhand tossing Jamie Moyer at home in desperation time gives me visions of some really terrible looking AB's). I don't know though, at this point nothing would surprise me.
  10. I feel bad for BA having to do these games, no matter the circumstances. I'm sure its easy to hide his disappointment, but what if the Brewers were to come back and win this game (pause for laughter), he would have to hide his excitement. That I'm sure would not be as easy.
  11. Not sure why I am even getting involved in this, but why does it matter if someone is negative? If you don't like it, take the advice I give my kids...ignore it.
  12. How about getting a hitter on this inning?
  13. I'm game. Who do we have to call to do that?
  14. Well, that I would call disappointing.
  15. Brian Roberts is a FA right? Shouldn't we sign him to play 2B next year? Wouldn't that be a HUGE addition to the lineup next year?
  16. I think the Brewers performance agains the other teams in the playoffs this season tell the entire story. Clearly not in the same league with the Cubs or the Phillies in particular. Simply not ready for prime time.
  17. Well, considering the DP ended the inning, and a K would have at least given COunsell an AB with the bases loaded - yes. Now, its doubtful they woul dbe in teh same spots in the line up, its a moot point, and the argument is silly to begin with.
  18. Attentiona Brewers: Just get CC to game 5. After all he's done for you, you owe him that opportunity.
  19. So is Sveum gonna get fired tomorrow after the Brewers got their brains beat in in Philadelphia?
