Meh. I mean, it was stupid and rude, but I've seen worse. A lot of ink has been spilt over it already. Assuming there's no blow ups today I think the whole thing has been handled pretty well. If MLB fines him or even suspends him for a game or two I don't really have a problem with that either. He took the remonstration from Murphy, apologized to his teammates and talked to the press last night, which is better than sulking or hiding. I sort of wish he'd been a little more magnanimous to the Cardinals in that interview, but I didn't really get the impression that he was just making stuff up, even if he was mistaken in his read of what he saw two days ago.
I'm not mad at him either to be honest. If people are upset with him I get it. If they're not, I get that too. . I do hope he learns from it so it doesn't repeat let alone get worse again moving forward.
