  1. The worst part is when they freeze it and tell you you won't feel much. Maybe a little stinging and pressure. Wrong. I'm assuming the procedure is pretty much the same as getting ingrown toenails removed; and I would have to agree 100%. Even the freezing hurt like hell; getting 4 different needle injections into each big toe was one of the worst things I've ever had to go through (and I've had my eye's operated on twice...). And the whole time the doc is just trying to tell a lame story to keep your mind off the pain, and it doesn't work at all. Man, if I ever get ingrown toenails again, I may just head into depression.
  2. One thing I've learned to do, if you want to keep the 100% rating, is immediately send out a false package with nothing in it, but get delivery confirmation on it. It's probably too late now that it's two months later; but it's something to remember in the future. I was selling a bunch of those Xbox Live subscription cards on eBay over the summer, and was just emailing the buyers the redemption codes after payment; well a lot of them tried to take advantage of me by using the code and then filing a complaint with Paypal and/or eBay. I wasn't about to let that happen so I would send an empty box with delivery confirmation immediately after receiving a complaint so I had a tracking number and was thus covered by Paypal/Ebay. It's an unnecessary expense that shouldn't have had to be incurred if these guys weren't jerks; but at least I got to keep my money from the actual sale.
  3. Yeah, it's $8/$10/$15 for Advance/Weekday, Weekend, Marquee respectively in the general lot (including my beloved "Giants" lot, which is renamed "Molitor" this year) And it's $13/$15/$18/$25 for Advance, Weekday, Weekend, Marquee for the preferred lot. Almost 50% savings buying in advance for Opening Day and other marquee games. I can't speak for the preferred lot, but I did just order 4 general parking passes for Opening Day a few days ago and it was no problem.
  4. I just bought some Opening Day SRO tickets on Tuesday, so I'd be glad to help -- They were $22 face. After fees and such they came out to about $25 each.
  5. Your friend must have only won Marquee tickets and not Opening Day. Today was the day to purchase Opening Day, tomorrow Marquee. I won with both of my two different email addresses for the lottery (I've never been so lucky.... I also won Twins opening day tickets that go on sale next week), and got to buy 4 Bernies Terrace and 4 SRO. Last year I won and only could get single obstructed view or SRO, so I was very pleasantly surprised today.
  6. Man, I've been anxiously checking spawn.com on a regular basis just waiting for the Braun figure; but this is disappointing to say the least. Same exact figure with a different jersey? Lame. I'll still buy it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  7. Brian Shouse and Johnny Estrada would beg to differ
  8. The Bronco's are 6-1; I wouldn't hate an outcome like that...
  9. Well with the jeans only being $250; the baseball is just icing on the cake!
  10. That's a great video; thanks for posting. How bad does that guy look that just wanted an autograph as he was entering/leaving the field?
  11. I pretty much agree here. I've sold my aggressive stocks and headed into defensive stocks with good yields. Until I see revenues that are consistently on par with estimates or beating them, I'll be pretty bearish for the short-term. The EPS has been fine this year so far, but revenues are way down. Cost-cutting has saved most companies, and it'll be interesting to see where the earnings go when there is no more cost-cutting to be had.
  12. From what I've read on other forums and such, Ally is legit and just fine to work with. They're FDIC insured too so nothing to worry about there. No personal experience however. My local bank's checking account gives 1.5% APY, so no need at this point.
  13. Check out ally.com. They used to be GMAC and recently got a facelift. Their rates are really unbeatable. If you're okay with an online CD; a 6-month CD currently has a 1.65 APY.
  14. (and we had no choice but to put ourselves under this time pressure by DFAing Hall, because we needed both Iribarren and Bourgeois on the MLB roster NOW, not in three weeks...those two players were the key to our strategy for making a run at the playoffs.) http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif My thoughts exactly. But maybe it did have to be done immediately so Hardy's move down (and maybe delaying FA year) looked less systematic.
  15. I hated going back to school in elementary school through high school but did like the first day back seeing all of my buddies I don't see often over the summer. Now that I'm in college I can't wait to go back
  16. I think adding Trot Nixon to that list is a safe bet, in my opinion.
  17. Yes, the teams would have to raise money every year. It looks like the two programs will be able to raise enough for next year; but then they need to raise a boatload before next May to be able to be solvent for 4 straight years so they can tell incoming freshman that the programs will be stable for at least the 4 years they'll be attending. And we can all thank lovely Gov. Doyle for these cuts. He took UWL's auxiliary money (basically a savings account) and spent it on new financial aid initiatives for incoming students at all UW system schools while cutting programs and raising tuition for current UWL students... Sure doesn't seem to make much sense to me but what do I know.
  18. I go to LaX and have a bunch of buddies on the team. Supposedly they got paid over 6-digits, in addition to traveling expenses, to play ND. That's triple the average attendance of a UW-Whitewater home game (one of the best DIII football schools in the nation). So I'm not sure why you put quotations around crowd...
  19. Probably not that much considering Football is one of the only sports that is self-supportive and brings money in to the university. They get paid oodles to go around the country and get beat up by D1 teams in the non-conference schedule. i dont recall UW-L playing any D-1 programs in football. They traveled to North Dakota last year to get beat up by the D1 North Dakota Fighting Sioux 45 - 7 and got paid very handsomely to do so.

  21. http://sammagonline.blogspot.com/2007/12/piazza-vs-mota.html Mota's a coward. I think we all know that already.
  22. According to Dodger Blue forum, they love the HBP because it's payback for hitting Manny (we were obviously aiming for his hurt wrists) and the "dirty" slide by Cameron... Wow Pitcher warming before that AB? Yeah Torre... act surprised by it
  23. Yep, it's just like last year with Prince. We signed him to a one-year deal, but it didn't mean he was a free agent after it. But I do agree with you; I feel like Nyjer would be a perfect addition to our team.
  24. If I see another "Melvin still a buyer" headline on the JSOnline blog I'll go insane
