  1. I agree John, I got there at 8 and found out Fielder cancelled. So that's 3 times now he's no showed that I can think of. With Cameron, I was dissapointed because he seems like a really good guy. They said theyd send something. I'm guessing one of those stupid 5x7 cards. I took a chance at writing my name and underneath writing (ball please, w/ 3xGG please), hoping that works for me. As soon as they announced Cameron wasn't gonna make it, I didn't wanna bother getting anyone else, too much let down already. Instead I went to the speed pitch and then went down the street to some grand opening of a hardware store and ate free tacos and fruit. That made my day a little better. Hart park is gonna be insane. I promise.
  2. I was actually more surprised he was alive than to find out he died.
  3. Usually that kinda thing happens AFTER the bottle of red.
  4. Neyer's AL team is up now as well http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/allstar09/columns/story?columnist=neyer_rob&id=4317726 Robin Yount (1982) • All-Star Games: 3 (1980, '82-83) • Hall of Fame: Inducted in 1999 Oddly, the Hall of Famer made only three All-Star teams, including '82 when he led AL in hits, doubles and slugging, and won MVP.
  5. I bet he does sweetspotting without giving you a chance to ask for it. You can ask for an inscription, but I'm guessing he won't, but ya never know, I think that kinda thing depends on the mood they're in.
  6. Is Super Brewer the guy that used to go on the painted ball and glove logo outside county and worship the stadium? I haven't seen him in a long time. Boo The Band is terrible. What frontman wears a headset? They should have a hipper type rockin polka band or something after games. I guess I don't care one way or the other cuz I usually don't enter or exit through the garden.
  7. Somewhere I have a poster from Miller Lite or MGD that commemorates Molitors streak, which is pretty cool, but like a dumb kid I put poster puddy on the back of it, and now there are marks from where the puddy's chemicals faded the corners...otherwise I'd think that'd be something cool to get signed. Maybe go get a big stick and get that signed? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he wont be doing inscriptions at any of these minor leage appearances.
  8. I can totally see keeping the first ball you catch at a game, I've come close 3 or 4 times in my life, but never got one. On that note, I think it's hilarious that Ricky Henderson caught a foul ball once and kept it cuz he never caught one while seeing a game in the stands.
  9. The Pujols and butts joke is so childish and stupid, these t-shirts are the cream of the crop of just tasteless. Vendors are stupid, they don't see the other edge of the sword and how almost 1/3 of their team is made up of players from the Dominican or Venezuela. Whatever, as mentioned above there are plenty of stupid shirts at Miller Park too, frat boys will always take over and ruin things that at one time in your life you probably appreciated. For example: the wave, drinking, etc. PS: 165 dollars to sit on top of a building to be 600 feet away from homeplate? LOLZ!
  10. Anyone interested in George Clinton tickets for Tuesday July 14th at the Rave? I'd be willing to trade for something small, an extra bobblehead, or signed 8x10 or something. Let me know how many you need and we can make a deal. I have about 20. Thanks! Corey
  11. go to fanfest apirk...you get 3 days, at like 15 bucks a pop to get in, and hall of famers will be signing each day. ozzie smith has to be garaunteed...i did this when the all star fan fest was in milwaukee, and thats how i got back into collecting autographs....its a good time, and you can get pretty much everyone you want because of the good experience, i also went the following year for 2 or 3 days when the ASG was at Comerica...you'll have to look up where in Screwy St Louie it's located, probably at some convention center.
  12. I can see Yo not getting in, but Hoffman got hosed. Congrats to Prince!
  13. I've never gotten Prince in the lot, but from my understanding, he's one of the few that still signs, and he'll sweetspot as well. I'm hoping he's at the block party, as I wouldn't mind getting some bobbles signed by him, but I don't have Cameron on a ball yet. I wonder what the turnout will be for this. Tristar, do you live in riverwest? I'm right near Humboldt and Wright, so this is only about 8 blocks away for me as well.
  14. hopefully i can go to this game, shouldn't be a problem though
  15. Ended up going to Albany to Sugar River. It was a ton of fun. The water was deep enough to swim in, and there were a few spots to jump from trees hanging over the river. Good times, and pretty cheap too! 11 a tube, and with a group we got a free cooler tube. Will have to look into Somerset, we considered that, but the drive was a little much. Next time we'd like to go camping, then tube the next day, or vice versa. Thanks for the suggestions!
  16. ya, I went to bed at about 4 on Friday....anyway, lets get the bobblehead site goin! inbox me!
  17. heh, I won the Money, but lost the Snappy by a buck, which sucks, because I was gone all day and at the time I thought 50 would snatch it...I won the Gwynn, Weeks, and Money...I was planning on bidding on Krynzel and Surhoff because they were very low, even though I have both of them, but I was goin out of town today and forgot.....REALLY kicking myself as I've never seen the Snappy up on the bay before, it was at 13 this morning and I really thought 50 would win it...just frustrating when yer willing to drop the dough and miss out by only a buck....someday, I'll run across another one...someday....
  18. OH MAN! What time did you guys get there, I'm kinda kickin myself for not goin now,but I desperately needed to catch up on sleep, sounds like the turnout wasn't that huge... I was thinking I'd only be able to get Gallardo. Next time. BHF, I had a powder blue bike messenger bag, i was right with you and that older guy...next time I see you, I'll say something
  19. Hopefully someone can give some suggestions. My friends and I have been planning a trip to go tubing in Spring Green tomorrow. However, because of some construction, the drop off point cannot be used. So we are looking to go somewhere less than 2.5 hours away from Milwaukee, that is deep enough to swim in, or doesn't have a super rocky bottom. We went in the Wolf River outside of Madison last year, and it was shallow and very rocky, however it was near the end of the year, and the river is probably much higher now, but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Thanks!
  20. no, i got it...just the highlight makes it annoying to read...clever though.
  21. I heard about this last "night" but why does "everything" have to be accented in "blue" and in "quotes?"
  22. Todd, not to ask for your secrets, but did you just find out how to get ahold of these guys and call them, or email them or how's that work? Great job, can anyone imagine 25 guys similar to Rollie on one team? No wonder the A's were so crazy!
  23. If you're not busy tonight, or looking for something to do, head over tothe 2600 block of Downer ave on the east side around 5-5:30. The Downer race is a lot of fun. Around 150 cyclists race in a .8 mile lap track. The race is usually over by 7:30 or 8. Also, you can drink on the streets, and there's a lot of various grills to get burgers, dogs, or brats.
  24. Turbo...as he was walkin in I called out to him, "Jason, do you have time to sign, you're the only guy I'm missing" he replied "Sure come over here and I'll sign whatever you got" So I hopped the rail went over there, thanked him, and told him he can sign it wherever there is room and added "can you please add your number on there" he signed it, and started signing for some kids, I looked at it, and no number...so I politely asked him again, just for his number, and he replied "you know my number, it's 18!" as he was walking away. BHF, I'm almost positive you and I were in line together a few weeks ago. Did you have that 16 x 20 (20x30?) picture of Hoffman? After the break, I realized it was probably you, I shoulda introduced myself, my bad... Who were you in line for yesterday? When I called them, it souned like all bench guys, macha, and Fielder. Just wondering. Super glad I decided to take the night off.
  25. Don't you mean pop tarts? Marijuana is practically legal all along the west coast, so it's just a matter of time that this isn't even an issue. I don't smoke, but whatever, its better than roiding up I spose.
