    I don’t disagree……but they had a choice to make when they called Mitchell up and they made it……don’t think we will see Frelick until next season. I imagine the next mive that is made will be Brosseau up and Ruiz back down…..since his option for this season has already been used.

    I doubt they want to burn an option on Mitchell for a few weeks of Frelick…..knowing that he could also struggle in his initial call,up.

    It’s interesting how the Orioles traded their unquestioned team leader……Trey Mancini at the deadline……..and yet somehow it didn’t destroy team chemistry even though everyone was sad to see him go…….they have played great since the trade. I can’t believe anyone falls for this BS…….Lorenzo had a great career but it seems he’s trying to make himself feel better about the way it ended. Not really sure what he expected the Brewers to do to show him the “ respect” he felt like he deserved? Continue to play him and allow his leadership to make up for the worst centerfield production in the major leagues?

    I love Lorenzo but this is a cheap shot. Years and years? He took 2020 off…….was given every chance to perform in 21 and 22 and just couldn’t. this from Adam Mcalvey’s Brewers beat newsletter Was he referring to his decreased playing time in his waning weeks with the Brewers? “It wasn’t [about] playing every day, because I know I was struggling a little bit,” said Cain, who was hitting .179 with a .465 OPS through 156 plate appearances at the time he was cut. “This goes back to not only this year, but years and years. It’s been three years where I’ve felt this way. I think when you mess around with that, when you’re supposed to be the leader of the team, the veteran in the clubhouse, and you don’t get that respect that you feel you should get as a leader and a veteran, I think that makes it harder for me to lead and for certain guys to also lead. Ultimately, it shows up in a big way when you go out there and play on the field
