The other thing to remember that these guys are so young that even if they out play the contract they can get a crack at free agency when they are still in their late 20s( assuming 2 team option years like Pratt). So yes they have to balance security vs risk but if they turn out to be great they can still get a big payday.

Good offenses tend to have games where they score a lot of runs………

My take from this game…….if you allow Perk to reach on a bunt single when he’s trying to sacrifice and walk Joey with the bases loaded…….it doesn’t bode well for your team.

He may well be done but the 60 day move is just procedural to gain another 40 man spot without having to dfa somebody else. It’s not like the clock starts over for him.

4 walks and a homer today……..the guy is being pitched like he is Barry Bonds…….. Ok…..that’s a bit much…….but man what a season he is having….. .hate to think where we’d be without him. Words that I never thought I would type. 😎

Not exciting but looking for someone to pitch non mop up innings never is.

Seriously doubt it…….Cubs Dodgers and just about everyone else have been hit hard by pitching injuries on a regular basis.
