    Nope.......

I don’t see Stearns doing too much “ trading for rentals” unless it’s at the trade deadline. Young controllable talent......say it with me.

Roster moves: We've signed INF Luis Gonzalez to a minor league contract & INF Matthew Mika has retired.

Who knows? Maybe it was gnawing at him? It’s not always easy to be the guy that breaks the code to do what’s right......but he should get credit for doing it even if it took awhile.

My guess is mlb had to basically give the players immunity to get them to cooperate in the investigation. When a union is involved and probably most of the team is involved to some extent you aren’t going to be able to punish that many players. It would have dragged on with appeals and challenges forever......

They have World Series titles. I would love for the Brewers to be more like the Marlins. Win it all a few times and then be horrible for 10+ years. I would love for the Brewers to win it all, just once, in my lifetime... Since nobody can guarantee a World Series title I prefer them doing it the way they are.......as a business the Marlins are floundering .....lowest attendance in the majors......I have no desire to have a great year and then have them be putrid forever......I enjoy baseball too much for that.

Tom @Haudricourt · 5m Gyorko has fared better vs. LHP (.796 OPS), so #Brewers might be envisioning a 3B platoon with left-handed-hitting Eric Sogard, whom Counsell said the other day would see most of his action there.

Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy · 37s Craig Counsell on shedding "lame duck" status with a three-year extension: "I don't look at it like that. I look at it like I get to keep working for a franchise that means a lot to me. ... The work gets to continue."

Great news.........Think he will be around as long as he wants to manage.

They shouldn’t have brought him back over Brett Anderson but for that kind of money they certainly could have brought him back......
