That's this years.....our bad record this year will still net us a good draft pick in 2014........ We don't have a first round pick anymore, we gave it up to sign Lohse.
We have 5 guys with obps around .400(Aoki, Segura, Braun, Gomez and AR) and still can't score runs with any level of a consistency....... Our guys are either bad(Weeks, Lucroy/MM , Yuni, Gonzalez) or unclutch it seems.......
So our offense scratches out a hard earned run against one of th best pitchers in baseball to tie it up and our "ace" gives it right back the next half inning..... So Weeks range going to his right is about 1 foot?
If it's Weeks over Bianchi then I'm sure that is RRR's decision.....If you want to see Scooter then it's Melvin's...http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/05/nl-central-notes-hart-choo-arroyo-cardinals.html Since AR couldn't play today they really had only one other choice if they weren't going to play Weeks...is Gonzalez any better?
The Brewers have had only 6 starts where our starting pitcher has gone at least 7 innings......Wainwright has that many by himself..... We have now lost 12 out of our last 14......wow
Gamel was given the starting spot last year...not sure you can say he never got a chance.I know you said "injuries may have had something to do with it" last year it had everything to do with it and before that he was given a chance to play 3rd and couldn't hack it defensively. they found a spot for Fielder, Braun, Weeks, Hardy and after him Escobar.when they were all young....I think if our prospects were good enough they would be playing. They had no problem giving the job to Segura this year...... Green looks like a career utility player to me. Don't think he has the bat speed to be a quality starter at 3rd base in the big leagues.
Lucroy is sure struggling to throw out runners lately. Braun looked like he gave up on that double by Barmes....the thing hit the bottom of the wall for pete sake....
Bruce Seid has had 4 drafts....June will be his 5th.....How many if any of his picks have gotten to the majors? I know the brewers tend to go slow with guys but other teams seem to get impact guys to the majors in 2 or 3 years..... I'm just wondering if he is a big part of the problem?
