  1. Its almost comical how bad we are.
  2. I know the Brewers love Kendall behind the plate but it would be really nice to upgrade that position offensively.
  3. I sure hope its not Gwynn. The only question TG is the answer to is "Who could we put in center that would make our team worse?"

  8. Neither Bush nor Mcclung seem to be handling the platoon very well Ned.....................
  9. As Rock said....."If you don't pitch Mcclung in this game when do you?" I hope somebody asks Ned that question after the game. I mean what are you saving him for? He hasn't pitched in 6 days and we have CC and Ben going to the next 2 days!!!! The more I think about it the madder I get.
  10. Haurdricourt is roasting Ned in his game blog. The Brewers then fail to get an out on a bunt by Wolf, which loads the bases. Suppan finally gets an out on Matsui's grounder to first but Erstad scores on the play. Tejada then hits a smash to Weeks that he allows to get through for an error, with two runs scoring to put Houston ahead, 5-4. Seth McClung just started warming up in the bullpen with Tejada at the plate. What took so long to get somebody up is beyond me. A single to right by Berkman continues the carnage. Lee flies out to center but Blum crushes his second homer of the game to right -- a three-run blast that makes it 8-4. Where the heck is Ned Yost? Why is he allowing Suppan to take this beating? How much evidence does he need that the guy has nothing? It is absolutely unbelievable to me that Yost allowed Suppan to give up seven runs. With the Cubs losing, the Brewers could take over first place but they probably just gave the game away. Braun leads off the bottom of the inning with a single and Hart singles to left with one down. Cecil Cooper comes out and replaces Wolf with Chris Sampson. Nice to see one of the managers realizes when his pitcher is done.
  11. Yost just can't be defended on this one. Its almost like he feels he owes it to the pitcher to give him a chance to work out of it and manages accordingly. Why does he preach accountability and then let Suppan in there to lose a game that could be won?
  12. I think you will see Hall tonight against the lefty and Branyan Saturday against Backe and then BH again on Sunday against Wolf. No reason not to give Hall a day off Saturday.
  13. Go Marlins!!!!! With a little luck we could be tied for first tonight!!!!
  14. The real question is will LaRussa hit Hall tonight ? If he does I only hope the Umpire doesn't warn both teams until CC nails Pujols in the 8th inning with 2 outs nobody on and the score 10-0 Brewers.
  15. Rorgy maybe? (Right handed only relief guy). The reason I ask is if Brian Shouse is our Loogy then Mota could be our Rorgy. 1.26 whip(not great but not bad and a .213 BAA vs Righties. Moral of the story. If Ned is going to insist on using Mota he should limit him to facing Righthanded hitters only if at all possible. Lefties are hitting .355 against him with a whip of 2.05.
  16. If Torres can't go I hope its Carlos.
  17. Can't ask for much more then 3 runs in 7 innings from Soup. He settled down nicely after a rough start. One of those runs would have been prevented if Prince didn't get caught in no mans land on that ground ball in the first.
  18. I doubt we will see the Brewers do anything to mess with the chemistry of this years team. Hall is hitting again and is by all accounts very popular among his teammates. The only move Melvin may still make is for a reliever. George Sherill's name has been mentioned recently in media reports as a possibility. We have all seen what Bill Hall can do when he gets hot. Lets hope he has it figured out now.
  19. I think that is the best inning Gagne has thrown all year.
  20. It really is unbelievable that Yost is actually going to put Mota into this game.............
  21. That ball has to be caught. No way should that be a double.
  22. I sure hope its not Gagne. I'll take my chances with Riske. This is where I really differ from Yost. I let Carlos pitch another inning. Its almost likes he wants to save CV so he can use him tomorrow. With TL going on Sunday I do everything i can to win today and worry about tomorrow.....tomorrow.
  23. Ok lets win this thing with the bats and take Ned off the hook!
  24. Stetter's control isn't good enough to use him with a lead late. I guess Ned wanted to rest Carlos and Riske for another day......I mean they've only had 5 or 6 days off.
  25. I wonder why Ned went to Stetter and not CV?
