Money well spent to keep both the Bucks and the Brewers in the city. Cost of doing business……as someone who lives here I’m happy to pay it.

They don’t want to go over the luxury tax……..to me that doesn’t make him cheap…..it makes him sane. But I understand in the current climate that is a minority opinion.

Young…..bilingual…….with a background in base running and bunting ……… On March 1, 2019, Borbón announced that he joined the New York Yankees organization as a coach.[11] In his first year, he served as a defensive coach for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, with a focus on baserunning, outfield, and bunting instruction.[12] In 2020, he moved into a new position as a defensive coach for the GCL Yankees East, but the season was later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[13] In 2021, he stayed with the team, now re-named the FCL Yankees, and was promoted to manager. On January 30, 2022, Borbón announced he was leaving the Yankees and accepted a position with the Minnesota Twins in their Player Development department.[14][15]

When was the last time a guy at the top of the market was traded with 1 year to go and then signed an extension with his new team before hitting free agency? I mean I’m sure it’s happened but certainly not often…….when someone gets that close to free agency he almost always will want to see what his value is. Especially when a guy who plays the same position just got a record shattering contract the year before. I’m taking no position on if this is a good or bad trade for the cubs…….what I’m,saying is if your position is it’s a great trade “ assuming they extend him” then I don’t think it will be a great trade in that scenario. Now is it possible they find the money and outbid everyone else for him next winter? Sure……..but that’s not how it’s worked out in recent years so I have my doubts.
