  1. Nelson is on the 40-man, they'd have almost no reason not to bring him up unless they don't want to pay the ~$100 K it would cost for salary, travel, hotel, etc.
  2. Allixon Cequea of the Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Brewers needs a shout-out. He has the chance to turn into something special.
  3. If Mark DiFelice is healthy, he may go the last game if the Brewers have clinched and can't change their playoff position. If Richie Gardner is still on the 40-man at that point, he could be called up too (even though he's a reliever now).
  4. The Brewers are trying to turn Lawrie into a catcher, which may take a little time. We can't afford to start burning his options. Not to mention, who knows what he'd add/how he'd hit. If he had signed a major league deal after the draft, there would have been a very, very outside chance. As it is... no. I'm hoping for Stetter and Erasmo Ramirez. Stocker seems like a no-doubter, and I think they'll call up Bateman too. Of course there's a limit on how many guys they can add to the 40-man, so it may come down to Ramirez or Bateman.
  5. I'd like to hear Jack Zdurencik's thoughts on the kid.
  6. That would mean we'd have one of the 2 or 3 worst defenders in the league at third base, first base, second base and left field plus who knows in right field. A million times over, no thank you.
  7. Hank Aaron is totally just a guy. (Isn't embracing apathy oxymoronic?)
  8. Why does anyone care what Ryan Braun does? Why does anyone care what anyone does?
  9. I wouldn't be shocked if the Brewers looked into trading Corey Hart for either a different RF or CF with a very good OBP, or for a starting picher... he's going to be arby eligible next year and his walk rate is trending in the wrong direction. He also could be very valuable to a club looking for a good solution in RF that they'd control for the next three years. Then again, he's relatively cheap and under control for three more years, so I can definitely see why the Brewers would be hesitant to move him.

  14. http://www.onflex.org/count/6.png http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm going to quote myself only to say... holy crap, we're gonna break 81 wins in early September. What a way we've come!

  16. Yah, and 20 games over .500 to boot! Not bad, team.
  17. Omar Aguilar has really turned it on recently. Perhaps he's found his slider again. Nice outing from Jeffress. It is gonna be fun watching him in AA/AAA next year. And let's not forget Joe Dillon... he's been real hot lately, and he's likely to have a few big PH at bats for the Brewers before all is said and done.
  18. With two days off this week, pitchers in the pen actually need work. Oh, and... http://farm1.static.flickr.com/51/148726143_4c94b2ffe1.jpg?v=0
  19. Very nice 7th inning for Consommé... he might start the 8th now because of it.
  20. We need to put up some plexiglass in front of that section.
  21. I kind of almost feel bad for Gorzelanny... he's a decent pitcher, but he's just struggling badly this year.
  22. Wow! Move Rickie Weeks to first base.

  24. No such luck for the Nats today. Make the Cardinals look like us Campillo!
  25. There's a dollar figure for the marginal revenue of each additional thousand tickets sold, but I can never remember what it is. I tried googling it, but to no avail.
