Wouldn't he be on pace to give up 5 ER? Edit: In the sequence {1, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, ...} a 5 comes after a 1. That combined with CC going, we have to win, right?
I hope the Brewers keep John Axford another year... he's an intriguing power arm recovering from injury. If he finds any semblance of control and keeps regaining velocity, he could become a relief prospect rather quickly.
I'm a Brewers fan, not an anti-Cub fan. If the Cubs winning is good for the Brewers, how could you not be for it? And why is it that the Cubs are "evil"? They're a baseball franchise.
In the strict sense that if we win the rest of our games, we'll get into the playoffs for sure. I suppose that's true. However barring that, each team left in the playoff chase has between 47-50 games left. I think that somewhere in there, we're going to need some help from other teams (or misfortune of other teams) in order to get into the playoffs. There are so many variables with the sheer number of games left that I can't really root for any of the teams. Ask me again in a month. This weekend I'll cheer for the Rays. Go... Brewers!
I don't care how we get into the playoffs, I just want us to get there... I guess that means it would be better for the Cubs so that the competition for our WC spot suffers. But I don't really root for teams that could impede our postseason hopes, especially in August.
"Craig Counsell pops out sharply, to the catcher." "Craig Counsell ground out sharply, catcher to the first baseman." "Craig Counsell reaches base sharply on catcher's interference."
Thanks Josh... I was wondering if MLB had some mystical ball sharpness deciphering technology, or if it was just up to the dude. I'll give you $5 if you put a "+" on every ball Counsell hits the rest of the year. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
