  1. I'd give that a try. Lucroy could use a partial game off, and that would give him back-to-back partial games off with Kottaras slated to start with Wolf's turn in Game 4.
  2. The way the game was going, we're lucky Jay didn't catch that ball on the dive.
  3. Fully agree. A change in pitchers was warranted. Pulling Marcum earlier could have been a chance to get Narveson 2-3 innings of work. With Narveson not having started in a while--and with a chance he might be more effective than Marcum as a starter--he could have used the innings.
  4. I didn't mind McGehee in that spot at all. At this point, scoring 4-5 more runs while holding STL to 0-1 is quite possible. Even if McGehee got at hit (except for a HR), you're still needing one more 2-out hit to score a run. Keeping Kotsay and the other better PHs for higher-leverage situations is decent strategy, especially with La Russa's penchant to bring in 3-4 relievers.
  5. Now that was a craptacular PH appearance. Almost worse than striking out on 3 pitches.
  6. Whoever kidnapped "Regular Season Yuni": We don't want him back!
  7. Get the long-man started, Ron. I don't care if Marcum isn't "struggling". He's given up five runs in 3+ innings and doesn't have a high ceiling like Greinke's stuff gives him.
  8. Need a couple answer-back runs here; top of the order to earn their money.
  9. Could have used Gomez in CF tonight. There has to be some serious consideration of Narveson to take Marcum's spot for the next start.
  10. a3uge: Why did you have to bring facts into this conversation? You've ruined it for all of them.
  11. Maybe already setting up the replacement for Hart and put the reliever in Hart's lineup spot in case of two consecutive outs here?
  12. I will strike my previous remark. Good production from the bottom of the order today.
  13. Need at least one insurance run. Wouldn't feel safe unless three more are scored.
  14. Now that is a shut-down inning from Greinke. Surprised he's made it through 6 innings, but it's time to put the dice away.
