Missed opportunities. Missed opportunities. Missed opportunities.
This will be remembered as a “woulda, coulda, shoulda” loss.
Team grew up this season. Future looks good. But this could have been a magical playoff run out of somewhat nowhere.
Very impressive to see the converted opportunities in the 3rd Quarter, following the special teams blocking a field goal right at halftime. Got out of a hole after a fumbled pitch. Fumble recovery to maintain possession on the kickoff. Both times end up with touchdowns. Just need the defense to come up with something big.
Great kickoff return. But need to secure the ball all the way to the end. Huge momentum play. Almost a must get touchdown drive with that starting field position.
They’re in the game even with wasted red zone possessions. Hard to imagine that any of us wouldn’t have taken being down one point at halftime as a worst case scenario. But that’s basically where the game stands after two quarters.
The offense needs to figure out how to put the ball in the end zone, preferably a couple times. Can’t expect too much more from the defense than forcing an empty possession or two. Both of those scenarios aren’t impossible. The game is there to be taken.
Definitely. The 1st Quarter is where the rust from the bye week and partially coasting into the end of the season for San Francisco showed up. Had a chance for both an interception/pick six and a possible offensive score right at the beginning of the 2nd Quarter, but didn’t capitalize.
Controlled the 1st Quarter. Got the lead. Really need to cash in this current drive with points and provide no let off to the 49ers. Big third down after the quarter break.
