  1. Big strand job by Boxberger. Gets out of the jam scoreless to pick up Ashby.
  2. Ashby done in by several infield hits. Feels like his appearance in Philadelphia back in April.
  3. Taylor’s grab will be in contention for Brewers catch of the year. Great effort and game situational pressure.
  4. Very much so. Looks like his developmental floor is to be a solid MLB relief pitcher. Dominant fireman/closer (maybe even Haderesque) or possible top of rotation starter are still possible outcomes. Just a lot of optimism over Ashby's potential.
  5. Situation changed a bit with the 5-run outburst in the 8th. But with Ashby getting warmed up already, he was basically locked into pitching tonight. At least it was a nice quick inning for him to close it out.
  6. When Tyrone Taylor hits the baseball, it travels well. Just needs to actually hit the ball a bit more to fill the CF offensive hole in the lineup.
  7. Heckuva slashed single to right field by Renfroe to knock in two insurance runs.
  8. Claiming that Narvaez didn’t give the runner a path to home plate (i.e. illegally blocking).
  9. Absolutely perfect relay to cut down a potential inside the park home run.
  10. That would be a nice development. I would imagine that the planned team would be an expansion franchise into the USL Championship, the level below Major League Soccer in our American soccer pseudo-pyramid. That level is in process of expansion, adding a team in Des Moines, IA in 2024. You can see the list of current USL Championship teams in the following link, which are hosted by cities of similar size to Milwaukee: https://www.uslchampionship.com/league-teams A couple other online articles suggest the same: https://urbanmilwaukee.com/2022/05/20/eyes-on-milwaukee-soccer-stadium-concert-venue-planned-for-downtown/ https://soccerstadiumdigest.com/2022/05/new-milwaukee-soccer-stadium-pitched-as-part-of-entertainment-complex/
  11. Managed to get out of that jam still up 3 runs. Bullpen will have to carry this one to the end. Need a couple tack-on runs.
  12. Out here in the AA Eastern League, we regularly see 6:05/6:30/6:45 starts for teams' night games all season long. That started a few years ago. (Though 7:00 starts for Friday/Saturday games or those with fireworks afterwards aren't uncommon.) Some AAA teams have also taken up that trend. It's interesting that teams closer to big metro areas (e.g. Reading, Allentown, Hartford) have kept the 7:00/7:10 start times. Probably more affected by where their fans come from, traffic patterns, overall work schedules, etc. Personally, I like it as a regular attendee of my local AA team.
  13. Offense barrage over the past week: Cubs/Reds pitching or was there a delivery of juiced baseballs?
  14. April record ends up 15-7. Pretty good guess by Ben Sheeps.
  15. Jake Cousins attempting to finish consecutive games. (Strange how that sentence feels good after seeing the bats wake up!)
  16. Samori Toure with the last Packers pick. Saw that name mentioned a good bit.
  17. Where have the power bats been hiding? Excellent to see a homer barrage against the Cubs.
  18. Brewers seem to have Hendricks somewhat figured out tonight. Good contact for several extra base hits and a couple homers through 3 innings.
  19. 2nd Round run in WRs continues. Skyy Moore to KC. They’ll find a way to use his skills.
  20. Alec Pierce at #53. Would’ve liked him as a WR addition.
  21. Here’s some of the on-field things that Wyatt can do. (Similar write up to what Julio Muchado linked to above on Walker.) https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/devonte-wyatt-jordan-davis-georgia-defense-2022-nfl-draft/
