  1. Frustrating loss. Some good offense shown, though not cashing in with the bases loaded and two out in the 6th hurt. Failure to convert shutdown innings after scoring was a big storyline. Then we got the de la Cruz circus, followed by the ump show. Reds lineup causes some coveting. Brewers lineup needs to find at least one more solid bat, probably two. “First Half” ends on Sunday. Not a must-win, but it seems bigger than a typical July game.
  2. Throwing the lead away in one fell swoop. Absolutely last thing desired after scoring a few runs. Needed a shutdown inning.
  3. Wilson pitched 1.0 IP on Tuesday and 1.2 IP on Wednesday. So I can see having two off days for a reliever like that. But this is a gut punch loss that should’ve been a win even with a patchwork bullpen. Wiemer’s misplay of the double in the 8th didn’t help, either. Don’t know what even to do with Bush at this point other than DFA’ing him. Just been a non-positive factor after being acquired as a potential backup closer/setup man.
  4. It also helped that the 2021 Central Michigan team had two offensive tackles taken in the 2022 draft: Luke Goedeke (2nd Round) and Bernhard Raimann (3rd Round). They had a hard time replacing that talent on the offensive line on the 2022 squad, alongside Nichols' injury. But as a Central Michigan alum and a Packers fan, I'm very happy that Nichols wasn't completely overlooked in this year's draft.
  5. College player with a few years in the minors before hitting the bigs. Short stature, left-handed hitting outfielder who could stick in CF but not be a top-of-league defender at that position. Seems like he might be a comp to Brett Butler.
  6. Yeah unique detail might keep that "record" going for quite a while.
  7. Early days, obviously, so a bit hazardous to draw full conclusions. But it’s a bit unfortunate that the Anderson contract didn’t include a team options for a second year. (Unless I missed something.) Seems like that might have been one of those buy-low possibilities this past winter.
  8. Should reschedule their trip for late-September for the Reds vs. Pirates series. Bring cleats and a mitt. Might even get into a game.
  9. Fortunate to have a 3-point lead and the ball at the start of the 4th Quarter. Critical possession here. Touchdown isn’t absolutely necessary, but would significantly change the complexion of the game.
  10. Looks like the defense will need to win this game. Force a couple negative plays, possibly even a defensive score.
  11. Scoreless 3rd Quarter, with the defense coming up with a turnover. Not the worst thing when playing with a large lead. Need to convert the short 1st-and-Goal setup with a touchdown.
  12. Double up chance just before halftime. Long FG attempt, …and that’s a little bit of Lambeau Magic!
  13. Get at least another score. Take control of the game on the scoreboard. Time to turn the screws.
  14. Kickoff return TD straight up the gut. Just amazing.
  15. Before raising my issue, I understand the need for advertisements to maintain profitability and do know about the Caretaker option to go ad-free. No issues with either of those. Are any other users having issues with the full screen pop-up ads while using Safari on a Mac laptop computer? It happens with nearly daily frequency that a full screen pop-up ad appears after trying to navigate the Forum. (That's not a problem.) But after watching the ad and letting it clear the screen or even clicking on the ad, the site becomes unusable. The browser window basically locks with no ability to scroll down. Refreshing the window just brings more of the same. I've noticed that this browser window locking doesn't happen when using Safari on my iPad, just on the MacBook Pro laptop. Also, it doesn't seem to occur during the few times I've accessed the site via Firefox on the MacBook Pro. So maybe there's some sort of issue only with Safari in the MacOS? Anyway, wanted to see if other users were having this problem.
  16. It seems to be more of a concern for pitching prospects, but I wonder if there's some thought about Chourio starting at AA in April and playing in the Gulf Coast weather instead of the Midwest at High A.
  17. Appears that the Santiesteban signing might be official:
  18. Swing and a Miss: the 2022 Milwaukee Brewers Story. Just pitiful to watch some of the at bats today, needing just a sacrifice fly to win a game—not even a hit! Almost glad the season is over after watching a team underachieve compared to expectations going into the season.
  19. Might need a couple lockdown bullpen arms next season. Going to have to roll with what we’ve got and have plenty of antacid tablets on hand the rest of the way.
  20. Screw around with a team and let them hang in the game…. Craptacular.
  21. Guess the offense wants to make the pitching staff walk the tightrope tonight. Too many less-than-impressive at bats with RISP tonight.
  22. Some classic Craigtemberesque pitching staff usage in the last two games. Closer entering in the 7th. Starter being used as a late inning reliever. Like it so far.
  23. Need to capitalize on this bases loaded opportunity to extend the lead in the 6th Inning.
