  1. Wonder what the over/under on ejections would be now. Would be interesting to see a prop bet line shift in-game after the first 1.5 innings.
  2. Got a couple runs back. Big two-out RBIs from Adames. Need a few more to pull off a win.
  3. Four runs in the first 1 1/3 innings, then nothing through the 7th. No tack on runs. Couldn’t convert the few scoring chances in the middle of the game. Leaves the outcome too much to chance, which is the way to lose to “lesser teams.”
  4. Renfroe is not having a good defensive game throwing. Costing bases and runs.
  5. Wong needs to get to second base on the McCutchen steal of third. Double play ends the threat.
  6. After I had been listening to some of the video clips across social media tonight, it seems like Vin Scully might be one of the last national voices of baseball broadcasting. Almost irreplaceable by the subsequent generation. We’re losing the legends of the baseball broadcast booths. Not too many long-timers nearly synonymous with their franchises are left.
  7. Some stressful pitching from Williams, but a scoreless 8th again. Should be a well-deserved day off for him tomorrow.
  8. Wild Hader tonight. But the win Is secured. Nice to get the first game of the series and the road trip.
  9. Two insurance runs gives Hader the 3-run lead save opportunity. Good Top 9th for the Brewers.
  10. Wasn’t the prettiest way to get it, but chalk up another scoreless inning for Williams.
  11. I am a Lutheran minister. Forum name goes back to the early 2000s versions of Brewerfan when I was in seminary. I suppose following the Brewers teaches the importance of humility, perseverance, and hope…or something like that. Got the good Boxberger in the 7th. Time for some insurance runs.
  12. Maybe they made the trip to Boston? Sounds like a lot of Brewers fans are at Fenway.
  13. A couple two strike pitches in the wrong location leads to two doubles and a tied game. Could’ve used another run in the Top 6th.
  14. Woodruff is dealing. Hate to waste this type of start.
  15. Locking in quality arms long term. Now to get a Burnes extension done.
  16. Sharp innings from Suter coming back from the All Star Break. Very nice to see.
  17. Just some pure situational hitting ineptitude being shown by the offense again tonight. Forget even 2-out hits; can’t even get sacrifice flies to score winning runs.
  18. Not feeling so optimistic facing the old nemesis LHP Quintana tomorrow. But watch a blowout win happen because nothing makes much sense with this season’s offense.
  19. Hope the management is targeting both another bullpen arm and a good batting average hitter heading into the trade deadline. Could really use both.
  20. Three hits on three consecutive pitches. That was an ambush job on Woodruff that didn’t give signs of him being in trouble. Maybe you anticipate difficulties getting 7 innings out of a starter, but not usually that quick.
  21. Four Base Jace. Nice to pick up at least one insurance run.
  22. Burnes managed to pitch out of that. Get him some run support.
  23. Needs to know game situation better there also. One thing to even try that with two outs, another when it’s the lead off batter for the inning.
  24. Rough outing for Kelley. Still could’ve had the lead if two difficult catches were made by Taylor and Yelich. Wrigley dimensions having their say on those plays.
  25. Sweeping a doubleheader at Wrigley is always enjoyable. Let’s see if Lauer can follow up Ashby’s start and if the offense can provide a bit of wider victory margin for tomorrow’s game.
