  1. That it’s two nights in a row makes it worse. Too many unearned runs given up in consecutive games.
  2. That's an ugly looking lineup. "Murderer's Row" of Vogelbach; Shaw; Bradley, Jr.; and Reyes hitting #3–6.
  3. Didn’t take their chances. Made a couple errors. Lose a 1-run game. Get them tomorrow.
  4. What would have been better, a little league inside the park grand slam? Walk to score a run and keep the bases loaded with no outs?
  5. He'd be more fine as a reliever if we had better starting options. If Lauer can prove to be an average starter and Burnes and Anderson return from the IL in form, then Houser could be an effective bullpen arm.
  6. Urias is looking a lot better at the plate over the past dozen games or so. Seems like he’s settling in as an MLB player.
  7. Phillies announcers were thoroughly impressed by Cain’s homer. Not many fly out that far: 446 feet. Missed a chance at a big inning, though.
  8. The team isn’t treading water while key offensive players are on the IL or not producing. They’re churning out wins. Early season wins add up for late season playoff position.
