  1. I had said a Lloyd/Wyatt combo would be awesome. I'll take Walker/Wyatt as well.
  2. Johnson, Hill and Wyatt seem like great options if you go defense.
  3. Or even if he was gone, would you have been fine with Lloyd. A lot of times when this happens the club knows someone wants their guy. It happened with Stokes last year (I think Buffalo was poised to take him a couple of slots later), and Savage a few years ago (Baltimore or Indy - I think - had him in their sights).
  4. I wouldn't be shocked if there is another trade or two yet tonight. Teams looking at Willis or another of QBs looking to get back up in the draft.
  5. The biggest surprise with the Walker selection was that Lloyd was still there. Some people were worried about Dean's size - so I can see passing on him. But Lloyd is seen as a three-down guy - just like Walker. Still, whatever works for the team. You pick who you like.
  6. Sounds good. Let's add Wyatt at #28.
  7. Walker had been rising in mocks. I liked Lloyd best - but so be it. He’s our guy.
  8. Never expected Johnson to drop.
  9. Just a weird draft. Fun as hell.
  10. That would be nice
  11. Whoa. Kenyon Green already gone.
  12. Lloyd Would be nice value
  13. Can’t believe Hamilton is still there
  14. WR run even earlier than predicted
  15. Olave or Williams?
  16. Yeah. Surprised he’s the first WR taken
  17. I know someone who did some baseball related news stuff, and he'd be texting sources left and right during trade time and draft and stuff. Some people reply, some don't. Some of these people have really good relationships with coaches/admin people or whomever. It's rarely a 'xyz is going to happen' - but hints. And let's face it - some of the insider people love the attention. It's something they rarely get - so they play along. As I said, they rarely reveal anything straight up - but there's a little dance that goes on - enough to give someone a story and enough to make the source feel valuable.
  18. If Williams isn't hurt in his final game, he's probably the top WR in the draft. He'd just be a huge downfield weapon. I doubt very much he drops to us - but if he does - as you note - it would probably end up being a great value.
  19. The mocks are all over the place - which is fine. Nothing against what all these people do. But it just shows how wild it's going to be.
  20. I'm seeing a bit of speculation that the Packers will move up if they can. The guy most people say they will target is Garret Wilson. #22 and one of our 2nd rounders would probably get us up to #10-13 - depending on which 2nd rounder.
  21. FWIW, Tony Pauline said the Packers love Burks. He's got them taking him at #22.
  22. 'Sauce' is just a great nickname.
  23. A combo of Dax Hill/Karlaftis/Jones/Wyatt/Cline would be pretty sweet in my book. Or even a OL such as Kenyon Green or Zion Johnson would be a nice addition. Penning as well - but I'm guessing he's off the board for us. The big thing is that there's a lot of quality talent that should be there for us. We all know WR is an area of need - but let's not force ourselves to pick one if there's other - better - selections on the board.
  24. Yeah, I realize that. And anything anonymous needs to be taken with a measure of skepticism. The report was from Bruce Feldman at the Athletic - so it wasn't like it was some amateur blog. But still - anything anonymous is suspect. And even if it is honest - it might be guys making judgements on the guy with limited knowledge. Who knows. However, some of the criticisms of Pickens are documented - so it's not just this report. The basic gist is that Pickens has been enabled all his life - and a team will need to deal with that.
  25. I saw one mock draft with the Packers grabbing LB Devin Lloyd and DL Devonte Wyatt with our top picks. While I want a receiver or two, that would be a sweet pair to add to the defense.
