  1. there has to be a way to get both families to work together and go together...even if they dont get along. just remind them they are doing it for the (grand)kids.
  2. probably because 90% of they say "circle me bert"
  3. very understandable...just remember the person you are talking to is not the person that made the mistake (i have been answering phones this summer for my job and fielding many complaints...some people are amazing) MP ushers are always an interesting bunch. some of them are good and enforce, but there are others that do not, but then try to after problems have been brewing all game. that is nothing but problems waiting to happen. and yet others just lack people skills.
  4. all they are doing is avoiding a circus of people trying to catch HR balls. everything will be back to normal in two days i would think. if they dont want you to go somewhere, i guess it is their right. once they let one person do it, the floodgates open. maybe people were meeting friends, taking shortcuts, etc., but once it happens once it will happen hundreds of times. i think this falls into the fact that people (fans, ushers, everyone) arent used to having such a full stadium coupled with the bonds circus. many places will not let you into certain areas without a ticket. usually not the bleachers, but it is understandable. im sure the ushers were instructed to be strict, and i am sure the ushers like their jobs...so they did. as for the sign, i could see them taking it away. someone (dont know who) wasnt telling the whole story if it led to police threatening arrest.
  5. that might be one of the fastest roomba's i have ever seen on woot
  6. who was looking for the roomba a couple weeks ago?? it is there!
  7. if you use firefox, download the check for change extension. you can select text and set it to refresh the page at any interval you wish. it also plays a bit of david bowie's "changes" when it finds a change /addons.mozilla.org/en-US...addon/3028
  8. it is possible that they hold a small amount for season ticket holders as well.
  9. the brewers sent out an email to season ticket holders a week or so ago about it. as for the rest of the world, i dont know
  10. UW-Madison - History '01 UW-Milwaukee - Education Certification '03 Worked at Nat while in Madison and lifeguarded while at home for the summers.
  11. i remember reading somewhere (SI maybe) that he was into the dogfighting in college as well. he just did a good job of hiding it this long i guess. he was lost on me after the ron mexico incident.
  12. Anyone else get the newsletter? "We have a ridiculously busy week ahead of us, with a ton of work to do between now and Thursday. So we're gonna leave you with this: make sure you get lots of rest and there's plenty of room on your credit card. You never know when you might need it." Edit: For flair. - Toby
  13. auctions will not get as much as some people may think. dont get me wrong, you will get a pretty penny, but there was just a little story in SI last week about how the market for HR balls has dropped pretty drastically. in the article, the guy who paid the $3 million for the mcgwire ball admits it was foolish. looked for a link but couldnt find it
  14. darn health care system...they cant get anything right http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ccbrew...i think you are right. i did have good luck there as well in my undergrad days. we got her up there last night...now we just have to get her back home for the weekend! lots of options for that thankfully.
  15. find a S.O. that doesnt like smoking. worked like a charm for me. honestly though, i went cold turkey. i picked a date a couple weeks into the future and told myself that was the date.
  16. thanks for the ideas. we just decided that she really doesnt need a car up there and any other method would be either ridiculously costly or a pain in the butt. i would assume transportation could get us a lot 60 pass, but their office isnt open on weekends (she leaves tonight) and probably isnt overly cheap. my wife is really excited to be staying in the towers for two weeks though http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. the sausage cycle
  18. i would assume that you would have a better chance finding them at a store on the south side. i would assume the el rey stores have a selection of them...and probably more authentic than the klement's variety. also the south side pick and save's (27th / holt / national) all have a much larger selection of hispanic foods than others in the milwaukee area.
  19. In many years of bringing in my own drinks to the game, i was only stopped once. i was told to drink my "coke" (about half and half jack and coke) or toss it. i reluctantly tossed it since i wanted to remember the game! they did pick up on the practice of sneaking beer cans in pringles cans rather quickly though. it took me a couple trips in to realize why so many cans of pringles were sitting near the gates!
  20. this was on the list from the "a to z guide" at brewers.com Sections 112, 127, 214, 222&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Brats, Chorizo, Sausages
  21. My wife is going to be in Madison the next two weeks for some graduate classes and we are looking for a place to park her car for free/cheap. She will be staying and attending classes on campus and we know how parking is on campus. Does anyone have any ideas of places you can leave a car for an extended period of time (4-5 days) and have relatively easy bus/walking access back to campus? We have checked Metro and the Park and Ride lots, but most of them have time restrictions. We have also checked a couple places downtown and they are looking for upwards of $50/week to park...which is a bit too much for a car that will be not used the entire week. If there is anyone who is in walking distance or a bus line to campus, that has any ideas or possibly a place to leave a car for the next two weeks, let me know. Payment is negotiable...I may have some tickets to upcoming games to trade.
  22. which they ripped off from PTI.
  23. please buy one the next time you see one on woot. it will probably be during a woot-off and that will make the next item come up faster! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  24. I think he was saying give money so that they can pool the money and buy more stuff at a wholesale price...form maybe sam's club or a food distrubutor.
  25. i saw it a year or so ago...really good film. it is interesting when the wives are talking and how they have adjusted to life in the minors as being "normal" for them
