  1. It is more like $80.... there are other stations we like, but this is beside the point.
  2. Have to think that DS and the boys will be doing a bunch of scenario work with the off day tomorrow. Actually, it's a great day to get things done. Scrambling on Wednesday doesn't seem like a position they want to be in either (ala Schoop).
  3. If I'm in his position with this scenario, I'd take the 3year 45 mil deal. He hasn't gotten the big deal yet the last two years (can't emphasize that enough), can play on a competitive team with MVP talents, and now has his best contract in his 30's.
  4. No Brewers games on DISH
  5. This is really ticking me off. If anyone has any info from Dish or FSN North, please display it here. I pay almost $100 a month to see no Brewers games; it's THE reason I have satellite tv. I'll be calling DISH to see if I can get discounts some other way while this crap is going down. I've called three times, and there has been about an hour call wait to speak with someone. The last time they just said that they were sorry but due to high call volume to call at a different time.
  6. So glad he isn't with Cubs. I can still like him. Still better than Villar, btw
  7. Most? Gimme one... please. Not being rude, but I never heard of this. Most MLB managers put their best hitters at #2 or #3.
  8. Also, I can't see Grandal getting moved... too big of drop off if we are still serious about competing.
  9. I really hope the Crew can keep this guy on a 3 year extension that lines up with Yelich and Cain, further strengthening our window to compete through 2021 or so. I'll take this news over almost any deal over the next few days. Perhaps that would be my strategy: Broach the idea to Moose to extend him (3 years 45 mill). Use the deadline to maybe put a little pressure on Moose to stay in Milwaukee. If he doesn't want it, look to move him and a Brewers top 10 prospect or two for a controllable pitcher (Bauer?). If this gets done, Shaw hits versus righties, and Hernan takes on his role again versus lefties....
  10. Hey! We actually agree on something. You can only do what you can do with what you have to give, but...I do believe prices will be coming down on some of these guys as the day gets closer. That being Said, I would certainly hope that DS has gauged what kind of value guys like Arcia, Aguilar, Burnes, Nelson have. He is going to have to get creative. Now granted, individually none of them have a lot of value, but if you put them into a package of some sort, I would think there's teams that would be interested in some of these guys. At this point, as I mentioned before, if all DS did was got this team a new SS, I'd be ecstatic..I'm beyond done with Arcia. I doubt we are on the same page but I’ll take it. I’d sell Moose and Grandal in a heart beat still. We have guys that can step in at those positions if the right deals are out there. Step in at catcher? Really? Production would be way down. Moose has been great too.
  11. Buehler, Lux, and another solid starter.... I'd do it too. Relievers are volatile in nature. Few are really great throughout their career. Yes, I would take back three really good ones for a dominant closer.
  12. Why could 't he come in in the 8th? If Maddon wanted to use him in the 8th for ONE EXTRA OUT, why couldn't he do this? Would Kimbrel refuse? I look at it as a matter of preference for Maddon, maybe keeping arms healthier, I don't know. If it's the playoffs, Kimbrel is in in the 8th.
  13. Hiura should not be lower than 4 in the lineup any time soon. Get him the at bats with Yelich on base. Or lead him off. He is legit!!!
  14. Rotation AND Bullpen have been below avg. Each needs to be substantially better to be in the running. Problem is injuries are hurting us in the rotatuon, we don't have huge prospects to deal for big upgrades while other NL teams do, and so many relievers have shown no consistency. We need some stabilization soon on staff- other teams' #4's and 5's even, along with a semireliable arm in the pen... tall tasks.
  15. Gio matters, especially as the only lefty in the rotation. Chacin was their best starter last year, and there is still time for him to be at least ok. We don't have many proven starters, and it doesn't look great. To be seriously considered we need starters at the deadline.
  16. Can't see this game on DISH! Seriously? The channel says that FSN North has pulled the channel from DISH since DISH will not pay more $ on next contract...
  17. Well, it's more than DS has done so far. You might be simmering soon.
  18. It makes the Cubs better so....not love.
  19. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com I have to say this is incredibly disappointing. From Having the bullpen get hurt or get worse to Losing Woodruff and Chacin, from losing series to bad teams and bringing up/ picking up no one to help us, to now the news that no talent is wore than ours.... sad. Does any of this info change the average fan's mindset to the trade deadline? Possible responses: -Go add an player or two if possible, trading from areas of depth. Our minors is bad and better to go for it now if someone wants anything from our sad minors. -We have no staff or bullpen. Trade Moose and Grandal (Aguilar/Thames) to replenish the system. Try again in 2020. -Stand pat, going for it a bit this year and retool for next year.
  20. I'm for a new look lineup. Hiura is one of our best so he needs to hit more at the top... switch with Cain. Cain can still make contact and be clutch. Hiura Yelich Braun Moose Grandal Thames Cain Arcia

The worst is the smirks from the players.
  22. Nothing could be more true. Sadly. Since all this is right on the money, the only thing I can see the team doing now is getting serviceable rentals for the rest of the season. Basically, other team's #4's and #5's and veteran iffy relievers on July 31. We might even have to take on salary to get it done. I thought a big name was coming our way, but not any more. The fringe chance is trying to trade for a Bauer so we have him next year too. I can't see us getting rid of Moose and Grandal so we are not giving up in July. There are only 4 games now before the deadline, and even if we lose them all.... probably not enough to trade off parts. The majority of fans will not be in support of the team giving up or in in July. I NOW cannot see us adding big because of the cost to do it (with so many teams in contention) and our vast dire needs, not just one or two guys anymore.
