  1. As we sit here on August 12 at 74-44 (40-20 at home), the Brewers winning percentage is an amazin’ 62.7% (66.6% at home). In the last 25 seasons of attending games of our Brewers (home/away/playoffs), this has been my best W/L season thus far. I started the season 7-0 and currently sit at 8-1 (88.8 %…all at home). Also surprisingly, I did not attend a July game when we were +10 games over .500 and just went to one in August (10-0). I am curious how others are doing record-wise at games this season? What is “your” winning percentage at Brewers attended games this season?
  2. You could be a PR front guy…..Brewers manipulating MLB rules? Never! And then the back door Hiura cut? Like a Ricky Vaughn change up….didnt see that comin.
  3. Still suspicious of other motives...can't help it. Hoskins normally would be back, but Vaughn is raking. Bauers maybe the same. Extend that IL stint....not sure where your ABs will be coming anyways. Good depth. Miz isn't really hurt but he needs to watch his innings anyways. Here's some attaboy mlb pay for 10 days. Just play nice. Woodruff pitched for 3 months in the minors since our staff was lights out here. That liner back was a great reason to extend longer. Henderson is injured? Ok. What is the angle? Not fair take, maybe not....but it is justifiable questioning given the history, and rightly so.
  4. Why anyone would discourage the “Bis” doing this is crazy….keep it up. Very helpful.
  5. Ticking off another hard thrower…. Hader, Burnes,
  6. B Negatively….Both being only rentals and a big hit to the farm. Positively…what a lineup. Durbin may jettison to 2B, Turang to SS…Ortiz plays everywhere.
  7. Relief pitcher and backup OF is something…I guess we see Turang at SS in August and Ortiz can backup every position. The new guy can play some 2B too, and I expect him to hit too. But yeah….I don’t get it. They need a bat or just some extra depth at SS/3B and they couldn’t get even an upgrade to bench.
  8. Exactly what I’ve been thinking….reminds me of 2022. Hoping players think management views them as strong players and not as over achievers bound for a wild card playoff on the road and not worth giving up ANYTHING of future value for the here and now.
  9. D for disappointed. We are acting like we are a fringe wild card 3 team not wanting to buy/sell much……and NOT the best team with obvious upgradable parts for cheap. What in the world?
  10. We can’t trade lottery tickets for a FA to be that would be better than Monasterio and Siegler? Or a decent prospect in a deep, rich system for a veteran utility guy? Seems odd and yes, 614 post worthy to me too.
  11. Probably Turang at SS, but 2B would be Monty and new guy. Yep.
  12. They did not continue the good feeling building from the streak, comeback wins, HR derby, and Cubs series win. They did not. They did get a lot of questions about what they were doing….fringe fans and die hards asking and shaking their heads.
  13. A bullpen arm and an extra OF…it’s something, I guess. I just can’t believe the left side of infield was not addressed. I actually now view Turang as the reason. He is seen as the backup to Ortiz in case he falters back to April/May numbers. The new guy can play a little 2B.
  14. Lockridge hit .877 and .842 at AAA the last two seasons…..and he hardly hit HRS. Got on base over 40% of the time. Another Durbin/Collins perhaps? If he could fill in on left side of infield, I would understand. Now? It looks like a move for next year.
  15. 4. MUSTs!! 1. Brewers MUST be thinking that Turang is our SS if Ortiz implodes/gets hurt. 2. And the team must be sky high on Siegler at 3Bafter Durbin….MUST BE! Unless there still is a plan to put Frelick at 3B! Ha. 3. Prices MUST have been waaaay too steep for Brewers brass to get a player better than Monasterio. Otherwise why not? 4. The biggest truth…..the team would rather lose with the guys in the dugout than make easy upgrades. Stupid pride….I think the goal is to not just win, but to try and win in the most unconventional way possible. I thought last season’s additions were low-key yet so valuable. Made sense. We sell SP depth this year? Only Hader deadline in 2022 was worse. I would vote for Melvin to run the team from July 28-31. And I absolutely love what our front office has done for us! Absoutely! But most of those prospects we value in Top 50 of our organization are not sniffing the majors.
  16. He doesn’t play SS or 3B, correct? 2B and OF?
  17. And Ollie was one of them….
  18. Big 20 minutes………still think they aren’t content at left side of infield. Especially for depth. If Durbin/Ortiz gets hurt, figure on one happening, what is going to happen?
  19. Captain Obvious says it is absolutely nuts to be content with SS/3B situation….EVEN if you say you are good with Ortiz/Durbin. No one should be ok with Monasterio and Siegler as backups when better veteran backup players can be had for peanuts. Crazy it is not seen or addressed already.
  20. With the Brewers not giving out anywhere close to a full stadium worth of bobble heads, why wouldn’t they just give out the option of a a free hot dog coupon or a five dollars off coupon for box office tickets….some have no interest in getting several bobble heads within one family or even a married/dating couple. This would allow those coming to the game who want a a bobble to actually get one, especially now that the Brewers are too tight in giving one out to everyone there like they used to do regularly for years. Easy fix.
  21. While we shakily trot out Yoho in a four run lead in the ninth….against the Cubs mind you, I am getting more frustrated with how guys that have pitched very well for us…namely Henderson… have been used. With Logan, why is he pitching all these innings in the minors? Wasn’t the story that he was hurt last year and that he had to be limited this year? It isn’t August and he is well past last year’s total (81.1 IP) throwing just shy of 100 innings? Starts regularly! Cortez and Patrick are seemingly ahead of him in the SP pecking order, why not use him in the pen? He could throw multiple innings here or there, as well. Ala other past SP turned RP briefly in Brewers seasons past, I think it’s time for Henderson (or Patrick) to help our pen. They were pretty good up here to waste(?) innings in AAA.
  22. And a 3B/SS for sure….Ortiz and Durbin can still play but a left handed bat there helps us with balance/depth. I wonder if the Orioles have to be thinking about a radical youth movement to restock their system. Gunnar for several pieces but Made?
  23. 11 wins….if I’m George Webb, I STILL announce a promotion tomorrow. Announce a Buy 1 Get 1 thru the Cubs series….11 wins= 1+1 burgers. For Brewers faithful. Why let the momentum die tomorrow?
