    It was reported that he would get rid of that player option if traded to a contender. Yeah but I'm pretty sure Seager also graded the Brett Anderson signing an F and laughed at the Brewers for signing Sogard for more money after his abysmal 2018 stint with the team and therefore I doubt he considers them a contender. Good thing he is a big Ryon Healy fan!

    Given the radio silence Stearns seems to prefer, that's probably the most we're likely to get. Reporter types hear whispers, but also I think you look at the payroll trimming, and try to guess what the plan is. Some said payroll cutting for the sake of payroll cutting, others looked at the extra budget and said, hm, that's a Donaldson sized gap in the budget. I'd like it to be true, but I think anyone who tells you definitively that they know what Stearns is up to before he does it is full of it. Oh I want you to be correct. Donaldson would be a huge get for the lineup.

    Still haven't seen anything that said we were in on Rendon or have been seriously in on Donaldson. That MLB link from the last page was just speculation at best. Edit: I guess saying "probably" in on Rendon counts?

    Looking at career stats, neither of them have dramatic splits at all.

    Some of the angst probably is coming from not knowing his role. If he is going to replace Hernan and be a utility guy, then I am ok with this. If he is expected to be a starter and we aren't getting anyone better, I am not a fan.

    I really hope he isn't our starting 3rd baseman or Shortstop on opening day.

    I am of the opinion that this GM/Front Office have earned the benefit of the doubt. I think for the first time as a Brewers fan, I can confidently say that. Now if the team is terrible this season, that trust will be gone.

    It is $10mil not $35mil. It fills a need too. Now the cripple trio of Braun/Cain/Garcia can cover part of the OF and Braun can be the RH portion of a platoon at 1B. I don't think they are hoping for him to be more than an .800 OPS, but this isn't shelling out much money or commitment. Actually its $19.5 million and they cut and re-signed Claudio to save peanuts.

    Thinking out loud here. For a team with limited resources, the Brewers must REALLY feel that Garcia is going to be a stud for the next couple of years. Am I wrong in assuming that? I mean this money could have been used elsewhere.

    No I didn't forget Houser. He will be first man up because there is some definite injury risk with that. Edit: I think Houser doesn't have options left so he would need to go to the pen or make him the 5th starter and send Lauer to the minors.

    I would not recommend sitting up really close. Some of the stunts/show gets REALLY close to the front row. (unless you are looking for that) You are also more likely to get the spotlight from the cast I think. Also, it gets hot in there with lots of people in close quarters so do not overdress. Have fun!

    Not that I wish for it to happen but just think what would happen if Harden got hurt during his stat padding minutes.
