    Normally in the ballpark with free agent contracts, MLB Trade Rumors posted their list: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/11/2024-25-top-50-mlb-free-agents-with-predictions.html Most notably to me, Kim at 1 year and 12 million would be a quick yes from me assuming his health is okay. I would probably want a 2nd year option in there if possible.

    Yes, with cutting Rea, I would be very surprised if Bauers is brought back. It is time to trade or see what Tyler has.

    I would hope Robert would come back to his allstar production as he is still very young and then you have him for two extra years. Picking him up would depend on a reasonable price but who knows with the White Sox. Baty stinks so I am not with you on that one.

    I have advocated for signing Dejong as a super utility guy (replacing Monasterio) and trading for Luis Robert. Both of those guys would help provide power.

    He isn't my number one choice but we have a massive hole at 3rd that he could fill until our minor leaguers are ready to take over. I would trade Williams, let Willy walk and worry about 3rd and maybe look for a guy with power to fill another spot.

    Royals had no problem spending last year and the Tigers have deeper pockets than us. Neither of these teams have the farm system we do to give better prospects instead of taking on the contract

    Wiguy proved why your Monasterio comparison is pretty bad but why are you ignoring 2022, 2023 AND defense?

    5 teams is a lot, especially if you are narrowing it down to obvious contenders.

    Maybe but Dejong (who I would want as a top bench guy) just had a horrendous 2022 and 2023. I'm just saying that people are underestimating what it will take to trade for McMahon.

    You don't think another team would beat that? I would bet a lot of money the Rockies aren't kicking in that kind of money to move him.

    If you think he is just a more consistent Monasterio or Dunn, you wouldn't want him at all. I think the defense would be great for us and there are not many other good options for us unfortunately. I don't think giving up Black and Uribe is much so yes I would do that. You guys are acting liking a team that is going to shed payroll will throw in that much money.... probably not going to happen.

    Completely different situations and players. I would do Black and Uribe for him and take on the entire contract.
