    I am not the one that determines rate cuts but I was just predicting what the fed will end up doing which I believe is two rate cuts. The fed is supposed to worry about employment and price stability, not the stock market. The stock market does benefit from lower rates however.

    The market just keeps going higher and higher. I am even starting to get a little nervous but I am happy that I didn't listen to the vocal bears and have made a killing in the market. I am of the opinion we will have two rate cuts this year starting with one this summer.

    I don't really think they are trying to do a transition year. They could have done that without signing Junis and Sanchez. (Miley for that matter as well)

    I am concerned this team does not have enough hitting for guys that play 3B, 2B and DH this season. If you bring in another vet, you can help mitigate this problem.

    If Monty is a possibility (and probably not since he reportedly wants a 7 year deal), then yes. For the others? Not worth it.

    My question is this: Who is our starting 3B at this point? I haven't paid close attention to Spring lineups (not that it would really matter). If Frelick can play 3B well, that would help the outfield problem obviously.

    Not surprising. At this point (unless someone wants to overpay), you go with Willy for this season. If you are out of it at the deadline and some team wants to offer more then the draft pick, you trade him. If not, you offer the QO in the offseason, take the pick and move on.

    Part of me says this is just speculation, the other part of me says there are a lot of guys that have to eventually sign so why not us. I would expect a 2 year deal with a buyout after year one with a decent amount of deferrals.

    Only yes if they are worried about Miley's health (quite possible). Otherwise I am still on spending money to sign Belt train.

    Yes I am sure reading the book would have helped. On the way out I heard the people in front of us saying "*** was that?" It looks like there will be another one and I'll give it a chance when it comes out.

    I went to see Dune 2 today. The cinematography and acting were excellent. The story itself was really awful. It jumped all over the place and generally was a hodgepodge. I really enjoyed the first one but this one kinda sucked.

    Chapman to the Giants, 3 years an 54 million with opt outs after the first two years. I wonder if that's going to be a new thing moving forward with free agents.

    Belt at a one year, 6 million dollar contract is a no brainer. I know the team thinks they found something with Bauers but Belt would be a great RHP DH and backup 1B.

    Black with some nice plays but that arm is well below average for a 3B.
