  1. I get it with 3 websites that it must be tough and I have no issues with fans of other teams writing these articles. However, there needs to be some research and integration into the team you are writing about so that you have some idea what you are talking about. Also, giving the platform to just anyone is going to cause frustrations. One of your most frequent writers is a Brewers fan, but is known for his bizarre takes like moving Braun to SS and 3B, even up until he was ready to retire. While long tenured members may shrug it off, new visitors to the website are going to think the membership is mostly idiots.
  2. There needs to be a vetting process done before you can submit an article. Some of the articles I have read on here involved little to no research and were just awful to be frank. If I wanted that kind of content, there are other sites to visit.
  3. Good thing we haven't done that yet.
  4. He doesn't seem slow but there have already been at least 3 times I can think of where he does not take the extra base
  5. Has Frelick always been this poor of a baserunner?
  6. If you need stupid humor, The Righteous Gemstones is hilarious.
  7. Any idea on where Canha will play or will he be all over and DH? I am kinda hoping we acquire a legitimate DH and then have Frelick in CF and Canha in right. (late game subs for defense)
  8. We've given up very little to acquire Canha and Santana. I like it because we needed some vets that could be around average players. I am surprised the Mets were willing to pay Canha's salary to acquire Jarvis. I still think we make one more move.
  9. It worked great until he was clearly hurt. Either Rowdy should have told management he was hurt or management should have recognized it and put him on the IL sooner.
  10. Well considering the Brewers rely on good defense and have a winning record because of it, it is kind of important. You compared guys that are not DHs with Eloy that is a clear DH. DH's have value but the guys that are not always available and are not still in Arbys, are worth less. I don't understand why you dismiss that. The Brewers are starting too many rookies and need someone that can reliably hit a baseball. For that reason, they should have some interest in Eloy. If the price is too high, you just bide your time until Tellez is back or you call up Tyler Black and move on.
  11. Well if you consider Jimenez a viable outfielder (he isn't) then I could see how this is a problem. The guys you mention played at least somewhat passable defense recently. Jimenez has been bad ever since he has been a MLB player and outfield defense is not something that gets better with age normally. Compare guys that are DH only with health issues and you get a lot different story.
  12. Somewhat logical guys to discuss in trades so maybe they are being cautious?
  13. He isn't but because he was such a hyped up prospect, fans think he is worth more than what he is
  14. Some posters said Chourio was overrated...
  15. Scherzer to Rangers.
  16. Baseball America updated their rankings to include the draft. Here is our boys: 2- Chourio 30- Frelick 37-Misiorowski 55- Quero 98-Gasser 100- Black I think Quero is too low and Gasser is too high personally. Either way, it is good to have 6 in the Top 100. It didn't seem like long ago that we would have 1-2
  17. I only pickup Soto if you are acquiring at least another bat as well. It is clear Atlanta is the front runner in the NL so we would need to upgrade to get around their level. (assuming they don't add as well) Does this lineup and our pitching re-enforcements give us a chance? Yelich (LF) Soto (RF) Contreras (C) Santana (1B) Jimenez/Tellez (DH) Adames (SS) Anderson (3B) Urias (2B) Wiemer (CF) Yes I know bites of the apple is the philosophy but this would be our best team in a while. If you don't feel like this will give us a decent shot, stick with Frelick and Tellez.
  18. I had EBJ and Lauer going to the White Sox in the Trade Forum. They can say they got a top prospect and a starting pitcher that has had recent success.
  19. Best I would do is Frelick and Quero. Ironically, it is almost exactly a "fair" deal according to BTV. Honestly, I don't know if I'd do it if given the chance.
  20. It would be awesome until we get beat in the playoffs. I would enjoy the Brewers offering the token 5 years and 100 million dollars to him however.
