    Interesting that you mention this, as it caught my eye last night and I paid attention to it as a result. It seems like when Aaron does rush to the line, it's specifically following a short yardage conversion. Smart, as you'd expect that's when a defense is likely to be subbing out 'jumbo' personnel of an extra lineman or linebacker to bring a DB back in shifting from run focus to pass focus.

    I think this is a very good point. He seems very willing to take the 3-7 yard check-down this year vs. holding for a bigger play.

    I also think the actual point that was being made regarding getting the ball after the half and viewing that as a 'turnover' was perhaps misstated a bit- getting the ball after the half DOES create the possibility that a team could effectively get two consecutive possessions, which doesn't happen in football other than following a turnover. There's no guarantee that deferring results in that scenario, however. But, I think the greater point is accurate- if, following the game play of the first half, you end up trailing and with the ball late in the half, you have the unique opportunity to cut into a lead by having the chance to score twice consecutively to get back into the game. I think what was misstated was that there is literally zero guarantee that you either A)score on either of the possessions, let alone both, and B)that you're the team with the ball late in the half. But, the opportunity for the scenario to play out is indeed there.

    The Jags fired their GM. Feels like more than typical in-season firings thus far. I have nothing to back that up beyond my perception, however.

    So, as MrAllen noted, you'd very much be in the ballpark if you remove Didi from the equation. You'd still have to pay Arcia or another SS something, of course, but you'd very much be in that $80-85m range.

    Miserable clock management by the Panthers there. Fortunately another disaster play by the Vikings bails them out.

    Being in Twins territory, do you have a feel of what the Twins would be willing to give up to get Hader? Trevor Larnarch is intriguing and he's close to MLB ready. Maybe a Larnarch and Balazovich/Jeffers? I really like Arraez because he's such an on-base machine so would love to somehow get him too. Kirilloff is obviously the ideal return, but I’m very high on Larnach. He’d be a nice get as part of a bigger deal.

    I think Hader is our one major opportunity to acquire multiple players to fill the numerous holes on the roster. As such, I’d be disappointed with a one for one swap unless it was a comical video game type trade in the Brewers’ favor. Voit’s bat is nice, but he’s also a disaster in the field, to the point where it eats up a chunk of his offensive value.

    Not a shock. Of the clueless Packer opponent coaches thus far, Quinn and Patricia seemed to stand out above the rest. No surprise they're both looking for new jobs.

    Ohio State’s game has been cancelled today due to an outbreak with the Buckeyes. It is believed that they’ll have to cancel next week’s game as well. Since they already had one cancellation, it is likely that Indiana and Northwestern will play for the Big Ten championship. Unreal.

    Only thing that could possibly save him is the fact his QB got whacked early in the season. Of course they still do trick plays that causes their current QB to run downfield and get his world rocked trying to catch a pass. I thought McCarthy sucked at the end of his GB tenure, but wow...his Dallas days may be even worse. Yesterday should be a prime example of how not to coach a football game. He literally managed the game yesterday like a guy TRYING to get canned. I think he has two wildcards in his pocket to save him, one being the Dak injury as you noted- Jerry is egotistical enough that he knows the optics of canning his hand-picked guy after one season makes HIMSELF look bad, and that may give MM a second year. Whether that's enough to give him a pass on their miserable season and ignore the fact that their division is so terrible that they could have sleepwalked to the playoffs this year remains to be seen...

    Starting corner Rachad Wildgoose has elected to end his Badger career, opting out of the rest of the year and declaring for the draft.

    JD Davis is pretty horrendous in the field, so I’m not sure 3B is his future. They’d have to be sure that he’d profile elsewhere for this to really work.

    Would have been exactly what they deserve for not playing the Purdue and Nebraska game even though they were not at the number of positive tests for an automatic cancellation of the games. 99% Sure they made it there prior to the games even if they called Nebraska early.

    I was at a car dealership about a month ago and they had a little thing on the base of the door that had some kind of grip or mini spikes on it that you could "grab" with the sole of your shoe and pull the door open. I've seen these at some bars as well, which is probably one of the worst offenders for 'grossest bathroom potential' at the end of the night....

    Not the best way to start a post around here, just for the record. The 1st grade responses without any depth is something that dude has gotta learn. Clearly has no vision as do others here. Needs to be said so they can sit hack and stop playing checkers while guys play chess. Not the best way to respond to warnings from multiple mods, just for the record.

    Yeah. I was holding out hope that basketball might be more normal, but with news tonight that the UW Women’s first game is already canceled, I think this is our college sports reality for 2020/21.

    Always nice to beat those guys. They have been a PIA since they joined the league. Strange series to get out shot in both games but win both by multiple goals. I believe it was nearly two to one in SOG over the series in PSU’s favor.
