  1. Thanks nate, that's my new working theory. There's a fairly large gap between the drain pipe and the wall under the sink, and I'm running with the assumption that it may be where they're coming from. Still, I guess I'm surprised that there's not more of a concentration near there if that's the point of entry. Thus far, the majority of them have been seen on the counter tops, rather than seeing a concentration of them any place. Overall they've been sparse enough that it's not a huge problem so far, but I hope to take steps today to eliminate the issue.
  2. Thanks for the help guys. I'm not 100% sure they are actually springtails, but they seem to be the closest match to online pics that I've looked at. Can't figure out where the moisture is coming from, unfortunately. The situation is solely in the kitchen, and I can't find any leaks or anything like that.
  3. Thought I'd seek advice here for a recent problem and see if anyone can offer assistance: I noticed a stray bug on my kitchen counter near my sink a week ago, but didn't think much of it until there were a few more last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Last night, I came home fairly late and found several on my counters and a few on the floor, along with a couple under the sink. I've looked all over the internet and haven't been able to figure out what these things are for sure- tiny (about a quarter of an inch at most), grayish, with two clearly defined but small antennas and a oval-shaped body. Definitely active at night. Closest idea I've come up with is springtails, but I'm not sure. Certainly not ants. I'm very regular about cleaning each week, and have removed everything (toaster, etc) from the counters near the sink and moved them to a different counter where the bugs haven't been seen. This is my 4th summer at this place, and have never had an issue with bugs before, and I'm definitely not sure what might be drawing them in. I'm a little concerned about spraying pesticides in my kitchen for health reasons. Should I bite the bullet and just spray raid or put down bait traps? Any ideas for what the heck they might be? Thanks!
  4. Yep. One could certainly argue that Jack Z's failures with pitching have forced Melvin's hand in having to acquire pitching via trades and free agency, thus depleting resources.
  5. As Melvin's contract ended at the end of this season, you wouldn't have gotten that chance.
  6. When BA saw the particular replay that made him think we got lucky, I agreed that it looked like a tag. I just watched the same replay on brewers.com and am not nearly as certain. Still, a decent throw and Morgan is out by a mile and looks foolish for blowing through the stop sign.
  7. Crew07, you repeatedly mention deals that were 'rumored' or say what should have been done without actually knowing what was really discussed or what is simple internet rumor. For all you know, it was the Brewers proposing Hart for Cain, and the Giants walking away. There isn't one and only one way to build a team. The one that Melvin has chosen seems to have worked out pretty well to this point.
  8. Based on the reaction on the Molina HR, there are a lot of Cardinals fans in Miller Park.

  10. Don't know about the radio, Dean Machine, but Braun got a huge ovation on TV.

  12. Bo specifically said he didn't want to use the timeout because we've struggled inbounding the ball this year.
  13. Kind of sounds a lot like the 'fireworks scared them' reasoning for all those birds dying last summer... 'Nothing to see here!!!!'
  14. Right, but the ball went out of bounds so the clock was stopped. Whoops, you are correct, sir. I know he was at the scorers table, but have no explanation for why he didn't get back in. If Wilson does what he's supposed to Correct. Charles Barkley pointed out that as soon as Wilson gets the ball, he needed to go inside and either try for the hoop/foul or kick it out, and it seems like Rob panicked or something.
  15. Why on Earth was Berggren not in the game on the last possession? He was at the scorers table ready to come in. Badgers had gone small and quick to get the steal before fouling, but the big man never made it back in because he missed the front end of the 1and1.
  16. After they basically said they were sure it wasn't an earthquake?
  17. Danai Gurira has been cast as Michonne: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-robert-kirkman-danai-gurira-michonne-casting-301729
  18. Yes, that's Michonne.
  19. Also, loving the way the bracket looks on the Badgers' side of things right now. If (and that's a big if) they get by Syracuse, they're left with a likely rematch with OSU who they beat in Columbus for a trip to the Final Four. If they make it there, they likely have either a game vs. a wounded NC team that they played close in Chapel Hill or a Kansas team that had all they could handle with a mediocre Purdue team last night. They're certainly not going to be a favorite anywhere along the way, but there's a path there for the Badgers if they stay hot.
  20. I agree, nice way to end the season. For as annoyed as I was the moment Lori flipped the car, the show seemingly flipped a switch right there and became really good TV from basically the bar scene to the end of the season. Looking forward to season three immensely, especially after the Michonne teaser!
  21. I think some of that was that the change by Vandy was sudden and unexpected, while they knew going in that Montana would do it constantly. Syracuse's use of the 2-3 shouldn't surprise them. I prefer being the underdog in the 16's for a change. Too many times in the past few years I find myself rooting for the Davidsons or Butlers of the world to beat a high seed thinking it would give the Badgers a better chance to win only to be beaten. This time, we should know exactly what we're getting with the top seed. Syracuse is beatable, as they've struggled in two of their last three games and are missing the anchor of their defense. I'm not expecting a Badger win, but they certainly have a good shot at it.
  22. Holy crap, that no-charge arc call on Taylor wasn't even close. Officiating in the entire tourney this year has been absolutely abysmal.
  23. That practically looked like the fix was on... those refs should be ashamed of themselves.
  24. ESPN Legal Analyst Lester Munson on Mike & Mike saying Braun offered to do a DNA test to prove conclusively whether or not the tested sample was his. MLB refused. Oh wow. If true, it's beyond apparent that MLB chose to protect the integrity of the process even at the expense of persecuting a potentially (and increasingly likely) innocent superstar player. If it's shown that MLB or their testing process caused the sample to have been switched or lost, that integrity would have been completely gone. How disgusting.
  25. At some point in this process MLB had to become aware of the problem with chain of custody, possibly from day 1, and yet they decided that they had to press the case anyway. I have little doubt that they though that they would win anyway. What does that tell you about the general integrity of the system? Thanks for mentioning this. This case should have been thrown out the second they heard "so I took the sample to my home".
