  1. Maybe Weeks needs some additional Nashville time to work on his continually pathetic defense. It's at the point where starting Weeks over Durham is becoming laughable.
  2. Rickie weeks is a horrific disappointment. Durham makes that throw in his sleep.
  3. Kind of makes you wonder how long it's been there, as if he's been trying to pitch with this, you'd think it might have been a major factor in his problems.
  4. I don't think a coach can control what happens outside the lines. All he can do is try and positively influence his players on the field and hope it translate to good off the field behavior. Well, in the college world, he has complete control over the types of kids that he's bringing in to the program and the kids themselves. One might argue that if Penn State/FSU are having such behavioral issues, that they're bringing in the wrong players in the first place.
  5. Did Ned only have 15 cups of Coffee this morning and is falling asleep as a result?
  6. Well, we need the Marlins to hang on now since our manager doesn't seem interested in winning this one today.
  7. Just wait until Soup's spot in the lineup doesn't come up here and Ned sends him back out there....
  8. Even Coop knows how to pull his pitcher when he's struggling!
  9. Hey, Coop is sharp enough to know when to pull the plug!
  10. I'll bet you Cooper isn't dumb enough to leave Wolf in if he continues to struggle here.....
  11. Mind-numbingly idiotic. Simply astounding, really.
  12. Boy, when Schroeder is even stunned that Suppan is being hung out to dry, that's a sign that the manager missed the boat on the pitching change. Man alive.
  13. Man freaking alive, Ned is such a doofus sometimes. Even Schroeder can't believe Suppan is still in.
  14. Ned must be trying to save the bullpen because as usual Suppan is starting to struggle by the 5th inning. That makes so much sense with the guy with three consecutive complete games pitching tomorrow.....
  15. Sweet merciful crap, Ned. Pull the freaking plug!
  16. Oh come on Bill, Rickie whiffed on that play. He should get an error, for sure.
  17. Ole for Rickie! Durham may have limited range, but he makes that dang play.....
  18. Hey Soup, you DO have to actually field the bunt, remember?
  19. Yeah, Wade came to mind for me right away as well. Other than some pretty major academic issues a couple of seasons ago with some major players (Steimsma, Landry, and Williams) though, Bo's teams have been very clean for the last few years.
  20. He ended up getting more than double what Melvin offered him so I'm not going to blame him for that There was absolutely no indication that would be the case, though. The Brewers made him an offer that was reasonably in-line with what you'd have expected him to get, but wouldn't go five years with it instead of four. Then the Astros went out and offered 6. It'd be like the Brewers offering Sheets a 5 year, 100 million dollar deal now and ending up getting 7 years and 200 million on the open market- the offer looks just about right now, but no one would foresee a team going out and doubling it on the market.
  21. Watching Carlos give up extra bases with his "defense" makes that 6 year 100 million dollar deal pretty thrilling to the rest of the NL Central.
  22. Well, we're finally seeing the scope of Durham's defense.....
  23. Sheethead... why do you bother? You have no interest in having any sort of intelligent discussion. Your only goal is to see how you can manipulate the fewest words possible out of somebody's (and not just my) posts, completely twist the meaning, and claim victory. It's juvenile. Remind me the next time you say anything, to just ignore you. You're a complete waste of time. But, I guess that's what people do when they can't legitimately defend their position. This post is not acceptable here. If this discussion can't continue civilly, this thread will be locked.

Send me a PM if interested in anything.
