  1. Well, those are both fantastic 'additions' back to the roster.
  2. Early reports are that Gary is able to go today. Great news, as missing just one game after how ugly that injury looked initially seems like a dodged bullet.
  3. Just for the record, not a BigTen Bowl this year.
  4. Chryst is far more conservative than I and many want in a coach, but he’s generally been so because he’s had a stifling defense for his entire tenure. You can have far, far worse as a coach. Like Gary Andersen.
  5. Glad they held them to the FG….
  6. Makes up for the garbage PI call four plays before that. The ball landed 5 yards out of bounds. Also, zero guarantee that Nebraska scores with one more play from the three.
  7. What is going on in the secondary?
  8. Uncharacteristically terrible drive for the defense.
  9. First, you cited a baseball example, and this is the NFL. Do you have knowledge of what the NFL rule is in such a case? As many of the early players were also coaches and owners of the teams, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the NFL actually did operate under different rules. Second, your use of controlling isn't in line with the typical use of 'controlling' in a stock situation, which is why I responded as such. In ANY stock situation, 'controlling' means having enough shares to unilaterally make a decision. Aaron Jones presumably bought one share, which allows for one vote and results in no controlling interest. Jones could have bought every single share made available this week and wouldn't have had a controlling interest. I guess I'm bewildered at the general poo-pooing of this that exists on this at this point, especially on social media. If people aren't interested, why should they care enough to comment on it and crap on others who see some sort of value in it?
  10. In Door County no less, of which AJ Dillon is now apparently mayor or sheriff or something.
  11. But as BSCR noted, there is literally no way they CAN have a controlling interest.
  12. ATM, the player who is on it.
  13. Wow, those are pretty bad. Though, our fan base doesn't even need to look too hard to find a gigantic waste of $300+ dollars: https://www.mlbshop.com/milwaukee-brewers/mens-milwaukee-brewers-christian-yelich-nike-cream-home-authentic-player-jersey/t-36999850+p-9229706659219+z-9-63092926?_ref=p-DLP:m-GRID:i-r0c1:po-1
  14. Seems like a much better use of funds even if you only consider it memorabilia than dropping $300-400 bucks on an authentic jersey, as many fans willingly do. At least with the stock certificate it'll hang on your wall forever, rather than hanging at the back of your closet after the player leaves the team in 4 years....
  15. I think teams have already done stuff like this historically. There are pavilions around UW's stadium, if I recall correctly, that are built with donor-sponsored bricks, etc.
  16. For the record, you do receive a legit proxy statement in advance of the meeting, and you do vote on corporate items like the Board of Directors. Completely lost in the 'worthless piece of paper' narrative.
  17. There's a waiting room/line right now, so it appears that demand is just fine at the moment.
  18. Scoreboards were mentioned someplace. Beyond that, I too don't recall seeing any other 'intended use' statements.
  19. Already a thread for the Badgers.
  20. Packer stock sale officially on, starting tomorrow. $300 per share. https://www.packers.com/news/green-bay-packers-stock-sale-begins-november-16-2021
  21. Over the cap is showing $4.6 million in available cap space, not effective. I don’t believe they’re factoring in bonuses to be paid, which is about $2.3m.
  22. This is what I just found on it: The #Rams gave WR Odell Beckham Jr a 1-year deal worth up to $4.25M, source said. Details: — $500K signing bonus — $750K for the rest of the season — Another $3M available in team-based incentives for how they finish the regular season and the postseason. If those numbers are true it seems sort of lazy for the beat guys to report that the Packer couldn't have found a way to be competitive with that, don't they have a reported 5 million in cap room? I am not complaining as I am OK with what we have with MVS back just saying it seems like there would be a way to make it work if they really wanted him. No. Packers have about $4 million in current cap room, but about $2 m in effective cap room due to incentives to be paid. They can’t use all of their. cap room as a result.
  23. the Packers beat guys have been making fun of that report. Guy reported it as though he believed Murphy to be the GM. Seemed completely unreliable, IMO. “Murphy lowballed in his offer.” What?
  24. Yep. It's a story because of how he personally bungled the thing. No one really talks about Cousins anymore after he just owned it.
  25. I do find it funny that the NFL said the fine was for a 'couple of isolated incidents where Rodgers wasn't wearing a mask in team facilities'. Yeah, right. He's out in front of the media mask-less each week, but he's wearing a mask all day every day otherwise behind the scenes other than a 'couple of incidents'? I mean, Rodgers is taking heat because he lied, and the NFL probably should be too. That's a blatantly false narrative, which is mostly to cover their own willful 'ignorance'.
