  1. Certainly not untrue in a vacuum. But in this case, Rodgers has a lot of tap dancing to do. If you define lying as 'making a statement with the intention to deceive', he's certainly guilty in this case.
  2. Others have pointed out other issues here, but here's the actual definition of immunized, per the CDC (WHOs is similar): "Immunization is a process by which a person becomes protected against a disease through vaccination." So, if Rodgers INTENTIONALLY chose the word immunized, which he likely consciously did based on context to offer an answer that was intended to mislead, how is that NOT the definition of lying?
  3. His exact quote was that he was "immunized". ... in direct response to a question regarding his vaccination status. It takes some industrial-grade spin to use 'immunized' in any way other than equating to vaccinated. Which is obviously possible that he was doing so, but that's blatantly misleading if the case, IMO. Seems far more likely that he's vaccinated with symptoms. Full quote was "There's guys on the team that haven't been vaccinated. I'm not going to judge those guys." It really would be massively dishonest if he wasn't noting that he himself was among them.
  4. Early and more or less unverified reports that Rodgers IS vaccinated, but is also symptomatic, so the 'two negative tests' rule isn't applicable.
  5. We can absolutely agree on all of those points. Shocking to have a career end after 5 years, some with serious productivity. But, it's over for him.
  6. Might be a case where neither of us is wrong. If Green Bay was signing Smith to play the run, they shouldn't be shocked that it ended poorly, since he hasn't done so consistently well for the majority of his career.
  7. Are you certain you don't have that reversed? He's only graded out as a plus run defender twice in his career, and not since 2019. Otherwise, he's pretty consistently rated as a plus coverage guy.
  8. Season grade, not team-specific.
  9. I'll likely end up wrong just based on how the team works, but I really do feel like if they're ever going to make a deadline trade, this is the year they'll do it.
  10. Smith graded out extremely well in pass coverage, and miserably against the run. Not ideal considering the Packers existing strengths/weaknesses.
  11. I can only assume that the Engram hope that is widely shared on twitter, etc. is the result of assuming he'll be better with Rodgers than he has been with Jones? Not that it's a bad assumption.... He's a miserable blocker (as is Tonyan, to be fair), but also hasn't REALLY excelled as a receiver for the past few seasons. Is the Giants' personnel holding him back? Maybe. Honestly, I don't wonder if a guy like Kyle Rudolph is a better TE target- blocks reasonably well, and historically is a solid if unspectacular receiver. He at least was productive in the passing game prior to cratering a bit playing with the same crappy Giants' personnel.
  12. There is no reason the Badgers won’t be favored in any of their remaining games. Doesn’t mean they’ll win them all, but they’re a big-time favorite to win the west at this point. Astounding considering where things sat a few weeks ago.
  13. Does Chryst even HAVE a two point conversion chart?
  14. Good grief. Ambulance on the field can’t be good.
  15. Never thought we’d long for the days of Joel Stave, but here we are. Mertz is just horrible.
  16. Feels like this is a decent year to be a buyer at the deadline. Available draft capital, expectedly back-of-round picks, and a year where a couple of key additions could really help us work around some harsh injuries. Cap is a problem, but I'd think that trades could be squeezed in from where they're currently at to acquire a guy or two.
  17. Fair point, but to be clear, you said the 'start' of how you want him to run it. You're completely free to interpret your own perception how you want, I just noted that I disagree because that characterization doesn't match my own perception, and as others have noted, doesn't match the statistics that show he HAS had significant success running through contact, etc.
  18. I completely disagree with this take. Just this game alone, there were numerous situations where he either was the person delivering the hit on the defender, or he was hit in the backfield and powered for positive yards. He's every bit the runner we were told he was. Best explanation I can think of was that they wanted the more sure-handed Jones in their in the 4th considering AJ's recent but atypical fumbles. Which is at least a logical thought. But I was right there with the rest who said to hand it to him 4 times on the goal line, as there simply isn't a likely scenario where he doesn't score on one of them, save for a fumble.
  19. I think this is right in a lot of ways. The current FO have more than proven that they know how to draft pretty well, so Gary's development wasn't some sort of unexpected pattern/trajectory. He's proving to be exactly who they thought he was and why they took him at 12. They likely took more of a project at 12 because they loved his potential and knew they could draft more for need with another 1st in their back pocket that draft. The fact that he's graded out as one of the best EDGE rushers in the league this year means they were right on his potential and future importance to the team, with his PT ramping up while the Smiths would likely be ending their time in GB, which is exactly where we are.
  20. 100% correct, and no one has said anything differently. Not everyone needs to be super worried about the division, and the inverse isn't true either. But, the probabilities have the Brewers as overwhelming favorites to win the division. While they still may not (mathematically for now), the chances of that happing are statistically insignificant (<99.9%). That's simply where things are at as of now. But in short, feel how you want to feel until the magic number hits zero.
  21. No one is lecturing anybody, you're just perceiving it that way and continuing to dwell on it. Move on.
  22. You know, I've largely stayed out of your continual comments like this, including your 'I was berated for saying....' comment in the IGT last night, but come on, man. In the end, you weren't comfortable with the projections 6 weeks ago, which, as it was then indicated, was your right to believe. You still weren't comfortable even as the Reds faded and the Brewers became actual 'locks' for the division, and now you're trying to do some sort of victory lap, even though they're STILL virtual locks for the division. You can believe what you want on a personal level, but you continually refuse to simply acknowledge that that's all this is. Instead, you continue to challenge statistics and historical facts and have tried to find flaws or twist the data to try and prove that your concern was valid, even though even now it's still nothing beyond a personal feeling. In short, believe what you want, as I've literally said all along. But stop sniping at those that have enjoyed the ride with little stress in worrying about a race that has been virtually over for weeks and simply didn't share your concern.
  23. If we couldn’t score against freakin Lester and Woodford then how are we going to do anything against Mikolas and Wainwright? We’ll be lucky to get one of these next two. Because baseball is weird.
  24. Keke received the Packers' lowest PFF grade last night. Yes, even worse than Lancaster, who was second lowest. Keke's regression is a big part of the front's problems. He seemed to take a leap last year, but he's been terrible thus far.
