  1. I still can't figure out why LA didn't use Gagne tonight. I kept expecting him to be brought in as the game progressed, and kept thanking Tracey for continuing to give us opportunites to win. You have the most dominant relief pitcher in the game, and he doesn't even warm up in an extra inning game?
  2. That was awesome, and I think we really needed this win going into the Dodgers/Padres x 2 + Anaheim stretch. Yeah, the momentum from today should help. While the schedule does get much harder, I think we should be very happy that we're playing the Dodgers next, since they're playing horrendus baseball right now. With their loss to the Braves today, they've lost 9 of their last 10, including 8 losses in a row at one point. I think that taking 2 of 3 at home vs. LA is definitely do-able, with a destict possibility for a sweep.
  3. So he walks the pitcher and then Scotty, so you swing at the 1st pitch and ground out weakly to the pitcher.... thanks Craig. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  4. Man, this game has been frustrating as hell to watch. No kidding. I've really been looking forward all week to finally having TV again, but this has been one of the most painful games to watch so far this season.
  5. Man, do the Pirates give us all we can handle or what? It seems like we can't buy a win against these guys for anything....
  6. and then Sheets tomorrow with Hendrickson taking the 5th spot Saturday? I see a guy OUT of the rotation as we speak. Individuality Wise's start today means that Hendrickson is NOT being called up, and Wes is starting on Saturday. This was confirmed by Uecker and Powell. Capuano will be taking today's spot in the rotation when he's ready to go.
  7. They seem to be getting close, they're going to check back in at 3:15.
  8. And we're under a delay again.... why was this game started?
  9. We're underway.... and scotty with a leadoff double.
  10. Counsell singles!!! Now NO DOUBLE PLAYS!!
  11. Good to see Brady heating up a bit as of late.... but we still need one more person to reach for Lyle to get one more shot.
  12. After looking at the radar, I'd guess they'll get the rest of this in yet tonight.
  13. So when do we have to really get worried about Scotty's slump?
  14. I made a lame stab at humor, due to a seemingly constant state of having 2-3 guys unavailable who are not DL'd, and I'm getting fragged for it. Sorry RoCo.... I did miss the sarcasm. And I do agree that the Spivey situation has been handled extremely poorly.
  15. and actually, I think considering the timeline, someone who is hurt for 2 weeks and not DL'd should said to have been "Kolb-ed". But that doesn't really roll off the tongue now, does it? Just to clarify: Kolb was hurt on Saturday, May 1st vs Pittsburgh, and pitched again for the first time on Saturday, May 8th vs NY. How does missing 6 days and 5 games qualify as 2-weeks?
  16. Well, at least Matt Kinney is ensuring that we won't be seeing him again....
  17. Giles was out.... terrible call.
  18. well it looks like Kolb is on th DL. So who do we want as our closer?? ?? Nothing about this on Brewers.com, and Kolb is listed as in the pen by MLB gameday.... where'd you hear this?
  19. Santos looks REALLY good tonight...
  20. Personally, 88 doubles in a heartbeat... especially considering that 90% of Sexson's shots were solo HRs... Actually, Richie hit 26 solo HR's, with 14 2-run shots and 5 3-run HRs, so only 57.7% of his HR's were solo shots.
  21. Doug Davis doing his best Wayne Franklin impersonation...
  22. Kolb won't live long as a one-pitch pitcher if his one pitch is a 92 mph fastball. I'm guessing slow gun since he just hit 97 on FSN. PS... he throws a cutter and an occasional slider as well.
  23. Not sure if I agree with that, but he apparently thinks that's a better matchup than Kieschnick facing a southpaw. Brooks has hit .091/.091/.364 vs. LHP over the last 2 years... Pretty hard to criticise that decision.
