  1. Like I said, it's the NBA and it wasn't over. Massive runs are part of the game, especially when a team starts a game on fire. That said, I didn't see a Bucks lead at half! Oh, no doubt. I thought they’d make a run to maybe make it a game-ish by the half. But that quarter was nuts.
  2. If you had told me we’d have a 3 point lead at the half 30 minutes ago, I’d have literally said you were out of your mind….
  3. I’m just anger-mashing on my phone, since there’s a guy at the bar I’m at cheering loudly for each Suns basket as though he didn’t become a fan two weeks ago. Guy got REAL quiet, for the record.
  4. I’ll take whatever keeps going in. And those are going in.
  5. I’m just anger-mashing on my phone, since there’s a guy at the bar I’m at cheering loudly for each Suns basket as though he didn’t become a fan two weeks ago.
  6. Feels too tough for any team to win one on the road. Which obviously isn’t good for the Bucks in this series.
  7. I really am wondering if we’re going to look back someday at the Adames trade like Smoltz for Doyle Alexander. Accomplished what both teams wanted at the time, but franchise-changing on one side.
  8. Booker might be the whiniest player I’ve seen in a while.
  9. Really don’t know if that quarter could have gone worse. Move on and make a run, I guess….
  10. Everyone declared him a legit #2 after game 4. He played a great game, but we need a road win to win the series. Hope I get to eat crow, but still don’t think they can win a title with Middleton as the #2 guy. I like him, but he’s a 3 on a championship team. Tough crowd.
  11. Calling a goaltend there is an embarrassing fail by the refs.
  12. A first place team, apparently? You think they keep winning with this poor of an offense?? Look how frustrated everyone is every night in the game threads over the lack of offense. Go check the stats posted in the offense thread in the ML forum. The offense has been fine since the Adames trade. Those that are complaining are using an outdated view of things. Unsurprisingly.
  13. Let’s hope this is the only quarter tonight where Phoenix can’t miss.
  14. Trevor Richards is the definition of an acceptable, completely replaceable bullpen arm. Tellez is only a non-asset if you only focus on his outlier 2021 YTD numbers rather than the rest of his MLB career, where he basically outproduced all of the other Brewers' 1B options.
  15. Right, I get it- he has an option; but they gave up a lot for a guy who’s seemingly third on the depth chart behind Hiura and his .600 OPS and now Peterson Trevor Richards is a lot? I couldn’t disagree more, personally.
  16. Well, he did win one last year. But yes, in his case it was deserved. His DRS numbers are really good.
  17. I think Gallo would look like the gold glover of the century compared to Vogelbach/Hiura. Exaggerating, but I don't think he would be bad at all. I don't think his move off of first was due to poor defense. I think this is right- when you have a guy capable of playing gold glove-level defense in the OF, you don't play him at first.
  18. The problem for the Cubs isn't just that they're 8 games back, it's that they're tied with one team, have two in front, and likely no wild card spot to compete for. If the Brewers fall on their face, then that means the Reds won't have fallen on theirs. Cubs need the Brewers and Reds to collapse, and also to match the Cardinals. Any one of those on its own is not unreasonable, but all 3 at once? ....and they also need all of that to basically start to happen within the next two weeks. Yeah, the Cubs could win a few over the next week and climb a bit, but I'm not sure they're going to get definitive enough indicators to make any decision other than the one to sell in the short time left before the deadline.
  19. Say what you will about Bud and adjustments, the Bucks’ defensive changes these last two games have been very effective. Sometimes a crazy performance from a guy like Booker makes a game close, but they were in a position to win because they shut Paul down.
