  1. Yeah, there were some fouls late that skewed it a bit back towards Milwaukee, but that has to change in game 2 to have a shot at a win.
  2. If you can find a way to get this to a two possession game, you’ve got a chance….
  3. The hole might be too deep, but I really like the offense approach in the 4th so far.
  4. One team is getting the ticky tack calls, the other is the Bucks.
  5. Yep, feels like a loss. Need to make a big run to have a chance, but we look rattled.
  6. Got to within a game away from the World Series, and lost a lead via a blown save by our automatic closer to the eventual World Champs. Last year, COVID, meh. Just to recap- you were completely wrong about the building of the team and in your own evaluation of what they did last winter, but we're supposed to assume that your way is the only path to success from here? Sarcasm aside, Stearns actually IS the smartest man in the room. Fans are fans.
  7. You know they’re winning as is now, though, right? After all of the offseason complaints about what they did or didn’t do? Perhaps we should learn from that and trust the people in charge to make the appropriate moves? Despite all of the complaints, they’ve more than earned the benefit of the doubt. They're winning now, during the regular season, sure. They have done a great job getting to the playoffs, no question about it...BUT, what has happened when they got there?? That's the key. At the end of the day, no one cares what kind of regular season you had, if you don't reach the holy grail. Look at the Bucks. #3 seed this year after being the #1 seed the last two, but got no payoff for those great regular seasons. That's what people remember. Until this year, lower seed in the regular season, but where are they now?? No one cares that they were only the #3 seed in the East this year, do they?? They're in the finals, win it or not, people will remember this season for that. Conversely, look at the Packers...always great in the regular season, but can't get over the hump in the playoffs. A lot of Arodg's issues are with the lack of FA activity through the years while he's been there. I can't say I blame him one bit. Tampa loaded up for Brady and look what happened?? Not saying it's a guarantee that would happen with the Brewers, but until they reach the holy grail, no one will care they make the playoffs. The window is so small, with three pitchers like they have now, they are set up PERFECTLY for a deep post season run...except for the offense. Based on the teams' success thus far based on your extremely negative opinion of how the offseason went, what makes you think your assumptions for how the rest of the season/playoff goals will be more accurate than Stearns'?

  9. If only we had a competent GM we could have a 6 game lead in July. Love his take on the Adames' trade That David Stearns man....easily always the smartest guy in the room...the team is struggling offensively, so they need a bat(s) badly..Stearns says "hold my beer", and what does he do?? Goes out and gets a career .254 hitter, or maybe it is the current .197 BA that he wanted so badly...or perhaps...the .254 OBP. Absolutely stellar! Nothing says "I'll turn this offense around, just you wait", more than going out and getting the big bat of Wily Adames. Well done DS..I can see why so many Brewer fans think you're so great! *whew* Joke was on us- we all thought it was sarcasm….
  10. Interesting point, for sure. No clue what Tellez's issues have been thus far in 2021, but if he's the player he's shown in the past, he's a legit 1B. No idea why his slugging is so bad this year.
  11. Could you elaborate on that?
  12. I mean, as a Brewer fan I'd think you'd have to be interested in the latter part in actuality, right?
  13. As others pointed out, it's just baseball. All of the other buttons they've pushed in similar ways have worked for two weeks, they were due for a clunker.
  14. Middleton’s 3rd quarter has to go down as an epic Bucks playoff moment. Absolutely crazy performance….
  15. I guess the thought would be as to where they’d be best able to make an acquisition to improve. If they can find a cost-effective SP and move Houser to the pen, that would work. But, I’m relatively certain they’d find more cost- effective options just acquiring a pen arm directly though.
  16. I believe you are correct- yesterday was the deadline.
  17. You think Gallo might cost too much but are interested in trading for Scherzer? I do agree with the concept, though, that one of the best ways to help the bullpen might be to put Houser back in it…
  18. That 2018 sweep was 5 games as well. And a couple weeks later the Pirates traded for Chris Archer. So odd that a 5-game sweep was actually devastating for the Pirates. Absolutely gutted their farm to chase a pipe-dream playoff chance.
  19. If the Brewers were willing to go all-in on a pen arm, Rogers would be a great choice.
