  1. Pittsburgh's going deer hunting in those unis.
  2. Tarp still on in St. Louis. Looking at the radar, it almost looks like they're being slow so when the rain returns they won't be 2 innings in a game.
  3. Just now an example of why Rottino may make sense on the big club, it worked out because of a bad throw, but Yost WILL NEVER burn his backup catcher so instead we get Jenkins in a bad matchup. If Rottino is up, Yost would consider PH'ing Miller there.
  4. Heck of a game if you take away the top of the first. Hill still has a perfect game going through 5.
  5. Bush hits, so he's taking one for the team tonight, likely will go 5 or 6 unless he blows up again.
  6. It will be interesting to see if they PH for Bush in the 3rd. Vargas was warming up like he plans on coming in. Also, do you let Vargas go deep then and start Bush Tuesday and Vargas on Wednesday. Puts the rotation in order.
  7. When Bush is good, he's very, very good. When he's bad he's horrid.
  8. Scary when the baseball lifer (Nelson) appears far more comfortable in front of the camera than the professional.
  9. If Broxton is 290, there are a bunch of pitchers over 300 out there (Sabathia, Livan, Wells to name 3). Dude looks put together really well
  10. Did they try a straight steal of home? If they did, that'd be kind of cool, even given that it didn't work.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. I think Sheets needs to start the 8th just to stretch him out.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif 81 pitches isn't that many, and with the dome, there's no off day tomorrow, so 1 inning for the pen is plenty.
  12. If they play this right, this should go a long way toward giving us closure on DLR as a starter. He has a DL'able injury. Be patient before his rehab assignment to build up his arm strength, use the 30 day rehab to give him 6 starts in Nashville, and see what you have.
  13. You know, when Turnbow was pulled for Shouse a couple of weeks ago, there was a bunch of concern about how he'd handle it mentally. Well, he certainly hasn't handled it well, it seems.>>>> T-Bow has pitched like a guy expecting to be pulled for a LOOGY ever since Yost pulled him for a LOOGY in that Philly game.
  14. De la Rosa's a manager killer of the first order. Ridiculous stuff, but he has shaky command and feels obligated to throw each of his pitches 1/4 of the time instead of staying with 1 or 2 hot pitches. Throw in the fact he takes forever on the mound and it's painful to watch him. Fear is if you get rid of him, you make the next edition of the baseball blunder book. Doesn't help when you have 2 bricks in the outfield defensively. DLR needed some leather behind him tonight and it didn't happen
  15. Other than the fact they got crushed, it was a good night. Hardy over the Mendoza line for the first time since the first week of the season. DLR with 2 nice innings. Lee coming around Jenks with a bomb Weeks with a sick blast. Type of game where Yost may have to put a bit of a reda$$ on in the locker room to remind them they got lit.
  16. There is something to be said for having the better of the play, even if you aren't covering your chances. Last week in Florida when the last 28 went down, as soon as it was tied, you knew it was over. Today, you figured if they got enough chances, they'ed eventually get one.
  17. Was anybody actually surprised by how the last 2 batters of the inning went.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif At least Spivey hit his ball on the screws (actually too bad it wasn't a hot grounder, would have been 4-3)
  18. The Tommy Phelps era can end right about now. Don't they need another bat with the illness/injuries. (More than another arm, even with Sheets sick, you can plug in Ben a couple of day later and not miss a full turn)
  19. The long national nightmare has ended. Also, hearing Sutton hope for more resources for Melvin and Ash in the 8th, I got the impression that was directed to the future and not the present. Adds more credence to the "sale soon" front, IMHO (They must hear things hanging around the stadium)
  20. 3 BB's for Scotty Po. Keep that up and Krynzel may end up in RF
  21. What was Jenkins thinking???? Though there was no doubt Philly was going to tie it up after the Brewers FUBAR'ed the top of the 7th If this game is a loss it's the type of loss only teams in double digit losing streaks have. Double!!! the scorer has to be on crack..
  22. That run they left on the table will come back to haunt them. What were Overbay/Donnelly thinking http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  23. It MIGHT be time to ask Pittsburgh if they want Bennet back>>> Keep him 17 more days, he's ours forever, unless his ERA's pushing 15 that's just a silly comment.
  24. Vicki Lawerence or Reba McIntrye version?? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm pretty sure it's suspended until tomorrow if they can't resume. If this was "natural" it would be an official game.
