  1. The injuries are really piling up at a bad time. Regardless, getting everyone healthy in the next month is more important than any one game outcome. We don’t need to be the best team in baseball for the next month. We need to be no more than 6 games worse than the Cubs, Dodgers and Phillies for one month. That’s it. Anything better doesn’t even matter.
  2. Whisenhunt freaking blows. Another 4 inning gem from him. Edit: well Nevermind, he stayed in to finish the 5th and the Giants made a crazy defensive play to get the double play with the bases loaded.
  3. Game 1 against the Cubs in the 5 game series was the last “this came easy” one. But yeah, it’s been a grind since then, win or lose.
  4. I’m 100% ok with saying Bauers should be DFAed. It’s been a 2 year long experiment. There isn’t any upside there. I just don’t even want to see him be an option. I’d even prefer Seigler getting his spare ABs.
  5. I’m down with the scoreboard watching at this point of the season. We know that no one besides the Cubs is going to catch us, so every Cub loss is almost as important as a Brewer win.
  6. As much as I appreciate the Lockridge 5+ pitch ABs, we needed baserunners this inning, not a few pitches and then a grounder. Don’t know why you don’t go to Collins there.
  7. Really, really frustrating game because you’d figure we would have to score a lot to win and yet it’s been there for the taking.
  8. Sometimes, indeed. Sometimes it’s more about the situation. Contreras laces one to CF but it gives us nothing where a weak ground ball to the right side advances the runner. Not criticizing Contreras, just saying it’s not always about how hard it’s hit.
